On this month's Star Wars Gleep Glossary, we're chatting about force sensitive clone, Dorsk 81!

On our January trip into the Gleep Glossary, we're learning all about the one that finally worked, the 81st copy of Dorsk, Dorsk 81! That's right, hailing from a planet of clones, Dorsk 81 joined Luke Skywalker's ill-fated Jedi Academy to help harness his force powers at a young age. This guy is seriously unlike anyone we've covered on the GG before because this guy was so powerful, he literally OD'd on the Force after siphoning others' force powers in order to help push an entire fleet of Star Destroyers out of a star system by himself. That's right. Dude was bad ass!

Gleep Glossary: A Star Wars Story is a show where the guys try to honor the history and legacy of Star Wars characters, most of whom we've been told don't matter anymore!

Thank you for being so incredible and continuing to support this weird, wild adventure we're on! You make this all possible! We know you have lots of options when choosing which pods you listen to and we very much appreciate you carving out some time for us!

The video game Eric is thinking of is The Force Unleashed. You pull a Star Destroyer out of the sky in like a quick time event segment. Pretty fun game, though the epitome of old Star Wars expanded universe power fantasy

The Great Wheel

Yeah thise Admiral Dala books are pretty rad.

Rod

Never thought I’d be going down a Dorf rabbit hole at 7am but here we are ☕️

Kevin Lynch

I can see him going to the beach with his clone friends, and they write “Dorsk” across his chest with sunscreen. He’d be all like “This wasn’t funny the 80 other time you did this!” while everyone on the beach laughs at him

Lance Flexington

I remember when Michael Stackpole retconned his Corran Horn character to be going to Jedi school with Dorsk. He was written as such a sheltered wiener, it was hilarious

MarkNM

I fired that up the other day on a whim. Still flawed. Still addictive.

Billie Jackson

I loved throwing objects and opponents around in that game. Any area with balconies or heights was particularly fun. Didn't need to bother with a fight when tossing enemies was an option.

Will See

As someone who was born in Mobile, AL. I can confirm that you pull a star destroyer from orbit to crash on a planet in "The Force Unleashed"

Barista Bran

They made two of those as well! Second one didn't have a great story but the gameplay was great.

Dan Schumacher

Yeah, there's some cool environmental and NPC tech stuff going on that's super fun to play around with

Busiris

I'm only familiar with Dorf from commercials selling those video tapes back in the day. That wasn't something I had in my house. We were a sophisticated household who only picked the finer fruits of the same vine - "Leslie Nielsen’s Bad Golf Made Easier" and "Leslie Nielsen’s Bad Golf My Way".

I just re-read I,Jedi again last month. I like Corran Horn because he relied on his practical law enforcement skills and saved his Jedi powers for when he had no other choice. I think a Law&Order style Jedi procedural could be cool🤷🏾‍♂️🤣

Kory D VanDyke

Oh man. Can we get a "Stack Tier" where you guys go through old clips of Unsolved Mysteries?

Tim O'

I know it's spelled "Khomm," but my ears were just hearing Eric say "Cum People" over and over

Paul

More Stack please!

I.C. Weiner

You are so damn OP in that game until they want to throw enemies at you that you can't just run over for some stupid reason

Winson Paine

Star Wars TFU, aka THE FUCKEST UPPEST

I.C. Weiner

Me too, I assumed that was Eric's intention

D Arthur

Instead of the typical “bum bum” it’d be two lightsabers turning on

Justin Blackwood

So the planet Khomm, is that where the music genre "Jizz" originated?

Jan

More beer

i had started watching turk 182 last week by coincidence, paused this gleep and finished it earlier today. a weird one, great peter boyle, good kim cattrall. insane inciting incident! terrible, endless, boring climax. i had watched bob clark's forgotten tribute two weeks ago which also features cattrall. i appreciate they worked together so often
