On this month's Patrons-only bonus episode, the gang is chatting effusively about beloved, action-packed space opera, Star Wars! There's no point in telling you three measly plot points covered in this episode like we normally do in descriptions, though. This is the longest recording in show history and we had a ton of fun talking about one of our greatest loves! Do keep your eyes peeled for: The entire backstory of fan favorite gleep-glop, "that werewolf"!

Star Wars stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Alec Guinness, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew, Peter Cushing, and William Hootkins; directed by George Lucas.

Thank you all for continuing to support this crazy, weird thing called WHM. Our commitment to making fun of hilarious trash has never been stronger!

New to patreon, listened to nearly every free episode at this point so thought it was time to start on these.

The thing about the rouge one vader bit is that despite how overpowering he is the movements are all small and measured so it matches up with the lightsabre fight in this one in tone.

Time to pour a tall glass of water and get ready to giggle

brent dever

sebulba makes an appearance right?

Brandon Dixon

Also having issues, at least on the iTunes RSS feed. Hopefully it’ll work fine here for me

Bronso of IX

Dune is absolutely worth the read by the way!

Brian Moore

Damn near three hours. I bow to your efforts, gentlemen

Setzer Studio Arts

I hate Star Wars. I love you guys making fun of it (& yourselves; & me)

Bosworth’s Iguana

Another hilarious episode. I’m digging this “We Love Movies” format for a change of pace. Turns out you can do some really funny riffing on things that aren’t pieces of shit. 👍

Nathan Stables

Loved the episode guys, I too am a Star Wars, Empire and Jedi person. Really enjoying the We Love Movies month so far, perhaps Decembers from now on could carry that tradition? i only ask because id love to hear episodes on Empire and Jedi at some point.

Aaron

This was such an amazing episode. I really hope you guys consider doing we love movies more often than just the month of December.

John Harrison

Eric was on point this episode, I am happy he has toned down the "oh I don't know/remember" shtick from the past. The man has a memory like a vice! Also, when you guys got on the 'neckbeards complaining about Rey' bit, I got to wondering: why does JJ Abrams get relatively little hate compared to others? I have to admit i don't like how Rey's character arced out in TFA but that's a problem I have with most of Abrams's films, Kirk in the first Kelvin film was ridiculous.

Lynne Olson

Amazing episode. Loved all (nearly) three hours of it!

My favorite episode so far. It's going to be tough to beat. Hoping for EMPIRE a year from now.

R2

Thank you for calling it Star Wars and not Episode 4 or A New Hope. People always look at me funny when I say Star Wars is my favorite Star Wars movie but I enjoy being petty. Listening to the werewolf story right now and losing it. I didn't know those two were lovers. That's beautiful <3 A better lovestory than Anakin and Padmé.

Manchew Ganbon

A top 5 episode, tremendous. I'm with you Joe, Empire next year.

Ryan Harig

I love u guys and love this episode and movie. Almost shed a tear at the end. Worth way more than 5. Empire next year!!

Lindsey

My $5 was worth every penny to hear Chris say "Big Dick Energy"

I was a subscriber for the longest time and unfortunately I had to cancel recently. But the arrival of We Love Movies and Star Wars I had to make an instant return. Amazing episode I loved the almost 3 hour episode and honestly lost my shit when you guys talked about ObiWan scaring the shit out of pilots into their own demise. Love the podcast. We hate/love movies is the best. Please don't change.

Chris Dobson

So much is talked about already but one thing you guys didn't mention but I'm sure has been mentioned plenty of other places is how stupid it is that the official robes of the Jedi order happen to be bedouin-style robes Kenobi is wearing in the desert. It changes the meeting from "Luke meets old man who is trying to blend in to his surroundings" to "Luke meets old man still wearing his military/religious uniform 20 years after he quit." And you guys should definitely read Dune, the sequels veer into crazy-town pretty quickly, but the original is an interesting twist on the hero's journey story that Lucas very clearly borrowed pieces from without really borrowing much in the way of themes.

Nathan M

I loved this episode and this will be in heavy, heavy rotation

Paul Obermiller

"This is when we get to two characters... Han Solo and Chewbacca. 95 minutes in." I laughed my ass off. Another great podcast.

Derek Horn

I can’t tell enough people about this show.

Meghan Baker

Guys- why do I have 2 batmans and 0 Star Wars. I’ve been refreshing for days and it hasn’t appeared. What do I do?!?!

Patrick Hothersall

@mEGHAN, maybe it was erased? Try looking in the podcast library in itunes to get this episode.

Doug Jacobson

Who is Red six... Porkins sir! .... My god...

Camille Faucheux

On the subject of Sheev Palpatine, I've heard that Count Dooku's first name is Glamnor.

Christina A

Utini is my text alert now....<3

Robert Ippolito

Chewbacca must be doing jumping jacks…I almost crashed my freaking car laughing

Antwine Miller

I don't know if anyone noticed but I couldn't stop laughing at the storm troopers still shooting down the hall after they already went down the garbage chute. They fired off more shots with nobody in the hallway

Zora McBride

A fave discussing another fave! And the birth of the Gleap Glossary! Could it get better?
