What's the Gang's Biggest Movie Disappointment - Eric from Georgia As a child, I really was sold by the trailers for Mortal Kombat Annihilation. It was 90 minutes of just slowly destroying one of my favorite franchises by this point.

So the problem with time travel, if you go back and change anything, you come back to the different future. If you go back and get young yourself laid by a prostitute, he will grow up to be not you. When you come back to the future, not you would have never went back in time to get young yourself laid. It’s a paradox. Question. If you came back from the past, for any reason you might have been there for, would you kill the not you living your not your life? Or would you multiplicity yourself; Just get some stuff done around the house?

R Crz

I know you guys write about what you are watching in the Dispatch but I would really love to hear you 4 talk about that movie, whether you loved it or hated it, does it deserve all the attention (positive or negative) its garnering, is DC (which has made some real stinkers in the past) made a good decision releasing this origin villain standalone and should they do more? Hopefully its not headed for worst of 2019!

Unicorn Trista

During this month's episode of The Nexus, you covered the episode of TNG where they say, "We'll get one of the Klingon women to breastfeed you." Personally, I overheard that line when I was very young while watching the show with my parents; and it has haunted me ever since. What is one line from a movie or tv show that you heard when you were young, and slightly traumatized you (not a big trauma, just a small one), and that still pops into your head to this day, despite not having seen the seen thing since you were a youngin'? -Trista from Colorado

Afternoon gents, just wondering if each of you have a movie that you absolutely love but can't get the rest of the gang on board with.? I know Cabin's initial answer is probably "Zoo" so let's go with his SECOND pick. Mine is the Brothers Bloom. Also, you need to check out "El Padrino: the Latin Godfather" starring Damien Chapa and Jennifer Tilly doing a "Colombian" accent. - Nick from Scott AFB

Empiric Unicorn

I once had to give a stern talking to an elderly man working the projector at the local Cinematek explaining to him that "No, it is not an OK experience to watch It's a Wonderful Life with the audio slowly drifting further out of sync for each passing minute" and that "It doesn't matter if you say that it will be fixed tomorrow because we're trying to watch it right frigging now!". Have you as a customer ever had to explain to someone at the movies how to do their fucking job? Tomas from Oslo, Norway

Jamie

Have you, or would you, ever consider doing an episode on a silent movie or foreign language film? Especially since the WLM era has opened up so many gems to choose from. Love the show and i hope you have plans to bring the live show to Ireland in the near future, Jamie from Enniskillen

Since we're approaching Thanksgiving (a favorite holiday of mine because it mainly centers around eating) have some food related questions: What's your favorite theater snack to get when you're going to the movies? Did you have a favorite theater snack as a kid that you absolutely cannot stand now? Any crazy MacGuyver type of theater snack creations? (My friend used to get a huge tub of popcorn, ask the people at the concession stand to dig out a hole in the middle to fill with the artificial butter. He would also order a box of milk duds, which he would then put in that middle butter hole). Also, what are your thoughts on the worst movie snack someone can order at the theater? Thanks! - Dan from L.A.

James Hayne

What movie do you hate that most people inexplicably love, or vice versa? - James from Brisbane, Australia

Dr. Poole

Have you ever had to deal with a friend bringing an uninvited guest to a planned movie outing? - Jason from Ft. Wayne

DocNem

I was re-listening to your live episode on "Cliffhanger" the other day and, turns out, you don't appear to have gone around and done your usual recommendations-or-not at the end (at least, not on the recording). So, since you guys don't redo episodes, because I'm curious and just to make it official: "Cliffhanger", would you guys recommend this? ~ Scott, from Adelaide, Australia

Andrew Latham

Any thoughts on perhaps dedicating November to John Candy Films this year, culminating with "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles", which I hope would fall under We Love Movies? Post Script, no reviews on "Joker"? Surely Most Contrarian Film Critic Chris Cabin has some playful musings. - "Never a Brief Question" Drew from Fort Worth, TX, previously Sunset Park, Brooklyn

Shane Osman

I recently saw “The Brave Little Toaster” for the first time and was sorta blown away that this Disney movie, presumably produced for the enjoyment of children, is actually a straight up horror movie. Are there any kids movies that really messed you up in your own childhood(s)? Like, you even look back now and think, “Wow...that was kinda fucked up?” - Shane from PA

Jason Hill

How are you guys able to sit together every week and record a podcast for so many years straight? Jason from PA

Adam Christensen

I'm a new patron and I'm currently watching high tension but none of my friends have heard of it. Is this movie that bad and is there any movies that you guys enjoy bit nobody else knows what it is? Thanks for helping me get through the days at work. Adam from the city of salt, utah

HeadwoundARGH

Edging. I kinda knew about it, but since listening to you guys, the word is dead. For example, here's some select passages including the word "edging" in just ONE Harry Potter book: Frank edged closer and closer, grasping his walking stick firmly. Dudley edged along the wall, gazing at Mr. Weasley with terrified eyes, and attempted to conceal himself behind his mother and father. It was Colin Creevey; he edged into the room, beaming at Harry, and walked up to Snape’s desk at the front of the room. What word or phrase has been ruined for you guys? Thanks and see you lovable dweebs in Portland! - Johnny from Washington

Jamie Brittain

You guys have always been brilliant at recommending arthouse and world cinema - I've lost count of how many amazing films I've seen based off stuff you've mentioned on pod/twitter/letterboxd. Wanted to ask then - what's your most unapologetically esoteric or artsy fartsy film? Jamie from London, UK

Call Huitson

You’ve referenced 90s WWF/WWE a few times. What are some of your favourite memories? Who were “your guys”? And when was the last time you checked in? - Call [pronounced to rhyme with “tall”], Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England

John Skelton

What's the worst movie you've ever had to watch completely sober? John from Aberdeen, Scotland

BoyofDestiny

My Question coincides with Call from England, Which finishing move from a past WrAstler would you wanna take. I always wanted a elbow drop from heaven courtesy of Macho Man. Owen from Columbus, Ohio.

Lollyllama

What movie would be made better by replacing the lead actor/actress with Nic Cage? The plot remains the same only the performance would change. Rachael from Liverpool, UK

Zora McBride

My girlfriend and I decided to celebrate Halloween cinematically. We watched one movie per day alternating between the very serious (Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer) to the very silly (Haloween Town and its sequels). What are some of the best, genuinely disconcerting horror movies you all would recommend for the holiday? Zora and Jenni, from Barkan-sauce.

Elena Tenn

Everything food. My husband and I are movie lovers and foodies. I always wondered your stance on eating while watching a movie. What is your to go movie snack? Bonus question: what restaurants would you recommend in NYC? Elena from Seattle, WA

Todd in the Shadows

There was an article in Empire or something the other day that was like "Here are the great movies that defined the '10s!" Okay, so, what are the terrible movies that defined the '10s? The movies that the decade wouldn't be the same without?

Joshua Paul Rohrmayer

What filmmakers or actors do you think have had the deepest descents from brilliant to abysmal? Marlon Brando being one well-known example. Or conversely, filmmakers or actors making huge strides from shit to gold. Thanks for the thousands of hours of pure joy. -Your Loyal Patron, Joshua from Seoul, South Korea

Tom Ivers

I find Magnolia to be unwatchable. 3 hours of thoroughly putrid people pissing and moaning about there first world problems. Worse still at the beginning we’re promised an exciting twist and then at the end it rains frogs. And then it’s over. God I hate that movie. Obviously this is an opinion shared by almost no one. Is there a movie that is universally adored by critics that you guys cannot stand? The likes of Crash, Forrest Gump and American Beauty don’t count since they’ve been retroactively torn to shreds. Thanks for the many hours of fun. Tom from Sydney Australia

Roger Monahan

"QUESTION???? - At a recent showing of Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, some chatty nerd kept starting unprompted conversations with me about how he was an investor and trying to show me photos of him meeting Kevin Smith. He then got together with his chatty nerd friend and their conversation including such gems as “why don’t you shove a pound of butter up my ass” in regards to the popcorn. As a nerdy weirdo these annoying shit heels give us a bad name and I couldn’t move away from them do to satan’s greatest torture device the assigned theater seat. What are some annoying or oddest things you’ve heard from chatty folks who should just shut their traps. - Roger, from DC”

Justin Robinson

With the news that the Game of Thrones guys are out at Lucasfilm and with Rian Johnson’s supposed trilogy seemingly in limbo, I’m curious who Eric would love to see make a Star Wars film if he was given the ability to choose.

Erik Burmeister

"QUESTION???? - Would you guys consider riffing on a movie for the main show that's more obscure than your usual stuff, like for instance Roberta Findlay's brilliantly trashy "A Night to Dismember", or even continuing your "A Side Order of Sleaze"- episodes? Love your voices for the Duck Tales nephews. Keep up the great work. - Erik, from Germany

Max Juke

Since many of us have some big, delicious meals to look forward to this holiday season, let’s talk about food. Can you think of any movies with particularly well-shot/well-prepared food that gives you the munchies just from watching it? For me, it’s the strudel scene in Inglorious Basterds. It looks absolutely delicious. I first saw the movie with a friend of mine (a heavy gentleman) who audibly gasped when Christoph Waltz put his cigarette out in his strudel. -Nolan from Florida
