Do you guys have a soft spot for movies that are undeniably bad movies because of a weird personal connection you may have for it? Spielberg's The Terminal is a wretched movie that I view with a weird set of lens because it's a favorite of my dad's. He is from Costa Rica and felt like the movie really captured the authentic frustration of being lost in a airport where you don't speak the language. Don't think he had to sustain off ketchup packets though for weeks at a time.

Kendall Arias

Sorry! Forgot to sign off my question! Thank you guys! -Kendall from Oregon.

Hillary Stucker

Do you guys ever go through the movies that Don’t get picked from Listener Request Month and then ever do an episode on them anyway? If so, what movies? Thanks! -Hillary from Culver City, CA

Joe Winters

Hi guys. My question is how much has doing the podcast warped your film watching experience? As in, compared to how you watched a film before the podcast started, can you still just enjoy / hate them on their own merits, or do you always have it in the back of you mind "how would this film play on the podcast?" Particularly bad films; do you now watch them the whole way through to see if they'd be good material, or can you still just turn them off if they're useless?

Joe Winters

Forgot sign off! - Joe from Waterford, Ireland.

Lil' Peepers' crime boner loves a jingly pocket!

What movies have you watched that the experience has been hurt by casting big stars, whose presence takes you out of the film as opposed to casting someone less well known who can more seamlessly blend into the narrative? Keep up the great work! Tom from Buffalo, NY

With Sonic the Hedgehog (eww) out now: do you think there could ever be a truly great, prestigious video game movie?

Ms. Seymour Butts

Any interesting experiences at drive-in theaters (or just general opinions)? I know 2 of you are from the ~captial region~ like myself and were lucky to have 3 of them in the area (ok well Malta was too far to bother so it was Hollywood & Jericho that were the ones we went to). I once accidentally sat on a crunch bar before seeing The Lion King when I was 7 and had to spend the movie being upset that my chocolate was ruined (and it looked like I shit myself). My Uncle spent the movie quietly fuming since the van we were using was borrowed from his sister and...brand new. Thanks for another great riff at The Burns this past October! -Courtney from (sm)Albany

Kevin

Long time listener, first time caller. How do you guys rank yourselves from funniest to least funniest?

J

What movies cause you to have a full-on stressed-out meltdown? Not because they are bad but because they hit all the right notes to induce a panic attack. A lot of John Cassavetes or Neil LaBute makes me want to jump out a window, and 'Hostel' made my girlfriend lose faith in humanity.

Kyle Haggie

Besides dragonheart what movies really made you sob

Steven Attanasie

Break bad on some of your favorite directors. What are some movies you hate by directors you love? For example, Wes Anderson is a director I love but Moonrise Kingdom is a movie I loathe.

Most questions relate to movies, obviously, so I wanted to go in a different direction. What are your guys' (and yes, I am also an overweight guy asking, so you are all amongst good company), What Are Your Favorite Guilty Pleasure Foods? We all like beer... a lot! However, I want to know specifically, what one or two (maybe more) foods/drinks, that don't contribute to our health, that is enjoyed amongst the gang. What CANNOT be resisted? For me, personally, I've actually cut out a lot for health reasons (not preaching, just starting the facts - it's damn good I love chicken and fish.) However, I cannot exist without spaghetti and pizza. ~ Ben, from Southern Oregon (P.S. Feel free to edit/paraphrase this message as you please, as I most times tend to ramble, even without a few drinks in me.) (P.P.S. I am most definitely referring to the "P.S." bit, I'm just a HUGE fan of LoTR 😁.) *Huge fan. Been a Patreon supporter for about 2 years now. Hands down, you guys host my favorite podcast. Not only do I also share a love of bad movies, but for whatever reason, your genuine connection to eachother, your comedic banter back-and-forth. Not to mention your very everyman feel of discussion (trust me, I've tried other podcasts), WHM has no competition in the game.* *note more editing

Hey gang, do you think the studios are at the point now where they are using "toxic" fandom as a marketing tool? Example: you feel TROS is a middle of the road Star Wars movie. The studios fuel toxic fan rage with stories about other cuts and scripts after a poor reception. The toxic fans push the moderate fans to feel more positive towards the film, creating future consumers, the toxic fans waiting for the "J.J. cut" or the "Snyder cut" etc, are obvious future consumers to re-releases or a subscription to a streaming platform. I think it bodes poorly for blockbuster type movies in that they won't really care about what gets put out as long as they have bait to put into the water. Sorry for the long question, tall glasses of water were had.

Andrew Donlon

13th Warrior Outlander Krull Beastmaster Red Sonja Is Szyszka's Swords & Sorcery season ever gonna happen?

Obi-Wan Kenobi

What are great movies that have shitty endings? And how do you think the endings could be better? Can you think of a time you were ever angry over a bad ending?

Paul

If you guys were to be stuck in the world of a bad movie (like in the TNG episode “The Royale”) which bad movie would you choose? -Paul, San Francisco

Evan

Would you guys please do "the color out of space"? Its a nick cage movie, based on a very good classic short story by a very unfortunately racist writer... and I kinda liked this movie a lot! Didn't expect that, or the film's brief yet positive depiction of overcoming the struggles in dealing with mastectomy. Anyway, give this strange movie a chance, I think you guys would really like it! Evan from Oregon (never say it like "polygon". Pronounce it like "organ". Also, no "ah" in Nevada. It's not like we're asking you west-of-the-Rockies folks to say Barcelona with a fucking lisp. Just saying)

Evan

*east-of-the-Rockies. I'm appropriately embarrassed

Kyle Burke

Hi guys. No question. This is my first patreon. Signed up after making my through your entire back catalogue over the last 2 years. Love this Podcast. Kyle - Ireland

Laurie

Have any of you ever seen “Starship Troopers 3: Hero of the Federation”? It’s completely bonkers. It starts as a space action-adventure, quickly diverts so musical (complete with singalong subtitles), then goes to courtroom drama, slapstick comedy, then body horror, with a giant space vagina eating the space musical hero. What sequels that inexplicably mash genres together for no reason are guilty pleasures for you guys? - Laurie from Echuca, Australia

Tony Garvey

WHat disgusting sex scenes would you like to see?
