On the inaugural edition of Once In A Lifetime, the gang is chatting about the bonkers 2015 film that shockingly launched a whole twisted franchise, Stalked by My Doctor! PLUS: The gang picks out some fun coffins! Stalked by My Doctor stars Eric Roberts, Brianna Joy Chomer, Deborah Zoe, Jon Briddell, Carson Boatman, Wyntergrace Williams, and Devon Libran; directed by Doug Campbell. Once In A Lifetime is a bi-monthly (every-other month) We Hate Movies podcast where the gang watches some outrageous Lifetime movies and attempts to sift through the madness within. Thanks so much for supporting We Hate Movies on Patreon! The Great Wheel

These Stalked by My Doctor episodes. High art. Never not amazing to come back to.

Tony King

So looking forward to listening to this, after having watched this insane film the other day.

Dan Hillen

Do yourself a favor... Pause when the "soccer texter" throws the ball at his trophies... Cute trophies dude!

Leesha Olivier

I watched this on Tuesday! Thank you all so very much!

Felipe Sobreiro

A fun movie with Eric Roberts is RUNAWAY TRAIN

Nate Brennaman

I just found out that there's a lifetime movie from 2015 called "The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story," with Dan Castellaneta as Aaron Spelling.

Jack

absolutely one of the best Cannon films - adapted from a Kurosawa screenplay somehow!!

Lisa

I am living for this. Lifetime movies are my drunk Saturday nights. From, the 90''s Menu for Murder and Seduced and Betrayed. Also Party Mom this one is so fucking hilarious, Mommy Group Murder, Evil Manny (yes Manny) oh and Locked in featuring what might be the stupidest mom in any Lifetime movie ever.

Elise

As someone who also works in TV, I'm loving all the intel about the Lifetime Network!

Angel Young

And there is a Unauthorized Melrose Place Story also starring Dan Castellaneta as Aaron Spelling. The guy who plays Thomas Calabro/Michael "bull-GAWL" Mancini is currently on Days of Our Lives.

Jamie

Death Of A Cheerleader/A Friend To Die For (1994) Sleep Baby Sleep (1995) Shattering The Silence/Not In My Family (1993)

Blake Rea

You should check out Armed and Innocent from 1994. A kid kills some robbers and everyone thinks it really cool. I think a parrot maybe gets murdered. It's a good time.

Jenny CE

Stalked By My Doctor: The Return (according to the Sajdak Law's number system, Stalked By My Doctor 2) is, IMO, the best of the four movies.

Jenny CE

Not a 90s one, but I highly recommend The Captive Nanny (2020) as a potential future episode!

Jenny CE

Mother May I Sleep With Danger (1996) is kind of the quintessential 90s Lifetime movie with Tori Spelling. Hey, you know, Donna could be abused by her boyfriend.

Maggie0401

OMG. I accidentally watched the first 40 minutes of SBMD : A Patients Revenge. Please please please tell me it's a Stay Tuned. Too good.

Angel Young

She's Too Young is a good one. I remember my friends were talking about it in high school. It's the movie where everyone in the school gets an STD.

Tanner McCullough

It's not a 90s movie, but I once greened out to 2007's To Be Fat Like Me, wherein Kaley Cuoco gets a fat suit to go undercover as a fat girl in high school. It's as tasteless as it sounds (from the little I remember)

kerez

Midwest Obsession (1995) has Courtney Thorne-Smith as a rural town's former Dairy Princess obsessed with some guy from her high school. it was a pretty fun watch.

Addie Sweet

As a reccomendation, I totally reccomend Psycho Yoga Instructor, as like it really almost reveals TOO much about the intended audience as you are supposed to empathisize with so many INSANE decisions the Protagonist makes

Ed Harris

Love the new show.

Marshall

I am loving your cover art sir. The pregnancy tests really got me

Bill Williams

I saw they remade it and added vampires

Bill Williams

The V.C. Andrews adaptations could be fun to cover.

Guy Named ADA

One of the classic made-for-tv damas, a Lifetime staple. Nancy Mckeon and Dale Midkiff star in A Cry for Help: The Tracey Thurman Story. Great tv movie. Dale Midkiff is an absolute maniac. Some of his best work.

Erin Hardy

I've submitted multiple LRMs for this movie.

Rocco Thompson

This was so fun! Not a big Lifetime-head myself, but I’d def love to hear you guys cover KINDRED SPIRITS. It’s by none other than Lucky McKee and it was a total bait and switch, back door Lifetime-financed effort that duped us all at Cinepocalypse a few years back.

Erin Hardy

Not like you asked, but I'm gently suggesting: Death of a Cheerleader (aka DAH-NNA Gets Stabbed by a Nerd) Someone I Touched (aka Everybody Gets Syphilis in the 70s) She's Too Young (aka Everybody Gets Syphilis in the 00s) Dying to Belong (aka Becky Conner 2 hazes Six from Blossom right off of a balcony) Cyberstalker (aka Daniel Levy kills people) Meredith Baxter's 90s Career (aka Meredith Baxter's 90s Career)

Angel Young

Exactly! This is pure gold for OIAL.

Miriam Traore

Twisted Desire and Our Mother’s Murder are both classic 90s lifetime movies.

Ryan Horn

Deadly Mile High Club is insane.

Ray

It's on youtube for free and on amazon prime. The more you know. 🌈

Ray

Lemme guess, it's like the mile high club, but deadly.

Ray

Also, Cyberstalker

Boots Century

The Client List (2010) is hysterical. JLoHew is a an inadvertent sex worker married to a 2x4 and says things like, “Pretty people in America aren’t supposed to be poor.” Cybill Shepherd is her wacky mom.

Brian W

"My Stepson, My Lover" with Terry O'Quinn and Rachel Ward might be my favourite of the "erotic" 90s Lifetime movies. "Deadly Mile High Club" also by Doug Campbell is a lot of ridiculous fun. Involves a lot of people getting pushed out of airplanes. Actually, most Doug Campbell ones are decent quality.

Brian W

Oh! "Why not Donna?" "Death of a Cheerleader" (also called "A Friend to Die For") with Tori Spelling and Kellie Martin is a blast. It's also "based on a true story". "She's Too Young" is another great moral panic true story movie about teenagers getting syphilis

Angel Young

You know who could handle being a friend to die for? DAH-NAH

Jamie

🤣

Sarah Wolf

I think that Whittendale college must be a running joke with the writers of some of these movies, because I swear I remember that name from other Lifetime movies! Please consider Mother Knows Best, featuring Grant Show and Christine Elise; Mother, Wife, Murderer: the Marie Hilley story (featuring a powerhouse performance by Judith Light), and A Woman Scorned: Betty Broderick ( featuring the most amazing performance by Meredith Baxter Birney).

Odie Coyote

Not Lifetime specifically, but check out Breaking Point/Double Suspicion (two titles means double quality, right?) It's Gary Busey and Kim Cattrall. Kind of a sleazy Red Dragon knock off where Busey is trying to catch a male stripper serial killer in a Seattle suburb. Insane shit end to end. Busey's only sex scene in a movie if that does anything for any of you. It's on youtube!

Nikki Clark

Now I have to watch the rest of these crazy movies in the series. What are you doing to me?!

Jan

Just what the doctor ordered is the new 1 guys! Beck is Back Baby

Erin Hardy

Fun fact: I mistakenly watched SBMD 2 in preparation for this episode, but some of the story beats are so similar (an early crash, a date with an age-appropriate internet match going horribly wrong) that it took me more than half an hour to be certain that The Gang was talking about a different movie.

Brittany Mitchell

Why did they pick such a ruggedly handsome guy for this role? A rich handsome doctor like this doesn't have a girlfriend? I call bullshit!

Dawn Elicia

Really enjoyed this thanks so much. I have three suggestions for movies. She Says She’s Innocent with Katey Sagal, Robert Picardo, and Charlotte Ross She Fought Alone a 90210 reunion with Tiffany Amber Thiesen and Brian Austin Green Silencing Mary with Melissa Joan Hart and Peter MacNicol.

Laura Coleman

MOTHER MAY I SLEEP WITH DANGER! Hands down one of the best. There’s also the Meredith Baxter Birney years. She’s played bulimia sufferer, a heroin addict, and a crazed divorcee out for revenge!

Laura Coleman

This movie is making me extremely uncomfortable.

Mandy Martin

This episode is so great and crepy I am listening to it for a 2nd time!

Danae Swanagon

Wife, Mother, Murderer: The Audrey Marie Hilley Story starring Judith Light!

Ross

No one would tell - 96 lifetime movie with Ben savage and Candice Cameron

Alyson

Y’all have to do Shes too Young, that cautionary tale about syphilis with Marcia Gay Harden playing the mother.

Catboyslim

The Truth About Jane, a 2000 LTMO Starring Stockyard Channing as a annoying Karen type lady who finds out that her daughter is a lesbian, and DOES NOT APPROVE. Ellen Muth is miscast as the “gay” daughter.

Sh'boom Sh'boom

Eric was 100% sexually victimized by Lifetime
