Classic ep. Rings of Power has a lot of potential but a mixed bag so far. It may be a better show taken as a whole so I might wait until more episodes drop to catch up. In the meantime, I'm adding the WLM on Return of the King to my most anticipated of 2023 and I'm going to listen to Fellowship now thank you.

Follow-up nerd moment: in the books, Merry and Pippin are permanently taller, to the point where when they're back in Hobbiton they are considered the tallest Hobbits in history. Some of the tragedy of the last few chapters is that Merry and Pippin are considered heroes, while Frodo has PTSD.

I enjoy Dourif in all the weirdo roles he gets, but he was so good in dramatic roles like Cuckoo's Nest, Mississippi Burning, Wise Blood....I wish he would have gotten more of those. It seems like I remember a behind-the-scenes from Two Towers where someone commented that he was a weird guy though - so maybe all the weird guy roles are more fitting.

So you could build on the Merry and Pippen entdraught thing. So they do get larger, permanently. They go down in hobbit records books as the largest hobbits ever. So they could totally use this ent water as hobbit PEDs for whatever sports are popular in the shire. Yeah the East/West racism is pretty obvious. It was mellowed a little by the fact that big hero Aragorn was called "Lean, dark, tall," and imagined by many to be Persian or Indian in skin tone. Sorry I am behind. I intermittently get chunks of time to catch up on your content. My favorite podcast and I am always sniveling "well in the book..."
