Especially during WLM month, I really enjoyed listening to commentary tracks while I work at home. The ones on the Thief (with Mann/Can) and Star Trek (with Dykstra/Trumbull/Wise/Goldsmith) discs I have were absolutely wonderful. Fincher and Carpenter always have interesting commentary tracks. I also love some of the ones on some classics, like Ebert on Kane or Soderberg on The Third Man. When seeing Avatar Way of Water in 3D a couple months back, a woman next to me was reaching at the numbers as they counted down from 10 to 1 with audible “ooohs” and “ahhhs.” I felt like I was with someone seeing the train coming at the movie screen and running away a century ago.
