Why did they think an Exorcist film needed so many extreme gore-hound moments? Was that side-boob necessary? And really, Morgan Creek should have let Schrader finish his film with an appropriate budget and called it a day! PLUS: Your ears are not ready for the “Tubular Bells” knock-off at the end…

Just checked and unfortunately it looks like Bushwhacked is no longer on Disney+ in the UK 🙁 It must have been removed very recently, as I'm sure I saw it there a little while ago.

The reason why the story is set in Kenya (Turkana region) is because in the OG Exorcist, there is a reference to Merrin having battled Pezuzu there and having saved a boy. The sequel kind of expands on that. Still this film is an utter turkey.

But what's funny is the original film sets that as having been sometime in the late 1950s and the exorcism itself "went for days" almost killing him, so they couldn't even bother to make any of that accurate. Dreadful stuff! - Andrew
