Aaaa, she's done! I finished her with only 2 days to spare lol.
This one was done using traditional watercolours, as opposed to the usual inks/dye-based "watercolours" that I normally use. Actually, technically speaking, this is the first time I've ever used traditional watercolours to complete one of these illustrations. Even though it was easier in ways, there was still a fair amount of learning curves...
Btw, also my first time drawing goldish, and I hate them. LOL

If anyone is curious to know, the different between Dr. Ph Martin "liquid watercolours" (what I usually use) and these "Hydrus watercolours" is that the "liquid watercolours" behave more like inks. They are dye-based, rather than pigment-based, so they stain the canvas immediately and are difficult to blend. Pigment is much easier to work with, you can pick it up, blend it, move it - it sits on top of the canvas, rather than seeping into it and staining it. In retrospect it's a lot easier to use, but I am not really used to it.

Tools used:

  • Pilot eno 0.7 red for sketch
  • Dr. Ph Martin Hydrus Watercolours
  • Rohrer& Klinger sepia india ink
  • Dr. Ph Martin pen white
