Just some clarifications. (Patreon)

Just want to clarify some things after having received some private messages when I mentioned the new game "Tribute."
So here we go:
- 3072 AD is not being shelved because I'm making the new "tribute" game. On the contrary, I'm ready to finally get back on the saddle again. And will mark the point with a first quick quality of life patch update.
Tribute is simply something new that is a long time coming. It essentially replaces "squeal little piggy," taking a lot of the mechanics I had for it. And it will be its own thing. With the more flexible scheduling system I'll start going forward, game dev should be more steady going forward.
And that, of course, includes 3072 AD. You can expect to hear more about 3072 AD going forward. I know I've put the project (and game dev in general) on hiatus for a long time, but now I really feel ready to get back to it.
- I also received some confused messages about the Jill Valentine set and image sets going forward.
Let me be clear on that as well. Image sets are going nowhere, and the Jill Valentine set is starting in earnest next week.
I'm not slowing down on the image set, but I am changing the "one set every month" expectation. My general rule is making 100 to 150 pages a month of image sets content over the course of 15 to 20 days.
Which leaves the remaining 15-10 days for game dev. The problem is... Sometimes a set is very complex, and sometimes a set can be 200 pages+ long.
Which makes delivering it within a tight "one set a month" schedule very hard to accomplish unless. I crunch and overwork myself and it makes game dev almost impossible.
The only thing I'm changing here is not how much work I put into the image sets. But rather how I schedule it as a deliverable and to be able to adapt and reprioritize.
That doesn't mean sets will take two months now (unless they are VERY big like the momo set) but it also means that "IF" I need to take a week or two more on it? Then so be it.
How long and big a set is it? Is variable. Therefore, how fast I deliver it needs to be variable as well.
If the set is short, then it should be delivered within a month or less. If the set is a big one, then I have to adapt and be flexible on the delivery window. (Because working myself to death to make it within less than 30 days on such sets... it takes a toll on me. Can't keep this up.)
I'm sorry for sounding like a broken record, but some of you are still clearly a bit confused. Which is understandable.
Just give it some time and readjust your expectations when it comes to delivery schedules. Again, what I'm changing is not the amount of work I put in the image sets, just how flexible I can be for their full delivery. Just to allow me to take an extra week or two on sets if necessary while also allowing me to adapt if I have important private matter (family problems, etc.) and also do game dev stuff every month (as I used to) going forward.
The "one set a month" rhythm I had has set bad and unreasonable expectations, and that's my fault. I need to readapt things so that I can still find enjoyment in what I do and not burn out. But I will still give my 100% on the image set and 3072 AD. Don't you worry.
Just be patient. Allow me to be flexible, and yes, allow me to indulge in other passion projects that I've put on hold for years because "Got the get that set out within 30 days no matter what". I don't think making that 37 or 40 days when needed is too much to ask, and it allows me to also not have to downscale the quality and sometimes size of the image sets.
That's it.
Sorry for another wall of text again, but considering some of the messages I received, I think a clarification was in order.
In short:
- Expect news and updates on the Jill Valentine set very soon.
- Expect 3072 AD to soon pick up some steam again.
- And yes, expect new personal projects to make their debut (which is much needed to avoid loss of passion through stagnation.)
Thank you for your patience; good things are coming. ;)
Thank you for your attention.
Love you guys,
Take care!
