Character Sheet #1 - Vesper (OC) (Patreon)

I've been thinking of creating sustainable OCs for a little bit, and I've come up with a specific overarching setup for them, codenamed "The Brothel" for now. First I want to show some of the characters, and make a shorter project featuring them. This project is going to come a little bit later though, because there's other stuff that I need to finish right now. I just want to get the characters out there for now.

Anyway, first up is Vesper! She works at the brothel/tavern, which is the main setting. She’s meant to be very playful and nosy, and generally incapable of leaving shit alone. She likes teasing the other characters and making questionable decisions. She tends to assume she can charm or bluff her way through anything, which works just often enough to keep her from learning better.I'm planning for the first little project to be just 4-5 comic pages. If there is interest, I will grow it more.

Also! You’ll probably notice that the art style for this is a little different from what I usually post. My recent work tends to be more anime-style and flatter, while I’m going for something a bit more Western/comic-like here, with more depth, less lineart, different rendering etc. Honestly, I’ve wanted to draw more like this for a while and I enjoy it a lot, and I also think it fits this particular project better.

I’ve also noticed that whenever I post work in this kind of style now, that is closer to my older artwork, it tends to garner a lot of interest. So that definitely helped push me toward developing something around it.
