Sad thing that these films are linked to LOTR. If they were just some random fantasy thing they would be ok, but they just cant compete with the LOTR. It may be unfair, but thats how it is

AN UNEXPECTED REACTION! Warning ⚠️ * The Hobbit movies are fun and exciting, but definitely do not come close to the LOTR trilogy. There are amazing characters, amazing scenes, but there is also some very poor writing that unfortunately kind of damaged characters since the films are directly related. There are good breakdowns on YouTube of what I mean. With that being said, I hope you have fun watching and enjoy the ride! Excited to hear your thoughts

Excellent :) I actually liked all three movies. I read The Hobbit long before I read Rings and so know every beat of the story. People have complained about the extraneous stuff that was added ... in fact, almost all of it (save for some of the stuff that is cringy about elements of films 2 and 3) is to be found in the LOTR appendices where they fill in a LOT of The Hobbit backstory, and very specifically how Gandalf supported the quest because he suspected that The Nercomancer of Dol Guldor was, in fact, Sauron and they were concerned what he might do if he could unleash Smaug for his own ends. The White Council features prominently in those appendicies their actions to counter Sauron's strength. It's one of the reasons I did enjoy them so much.

My first guess was Harry Potter lol I'm not sure if y'all have implied that y'all have watched the Harry Potter films, if not that would be a great dive! But if y'all have.... 😕😕😂 Oh well 🤷
