I'm going with a classic and it's Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window. One of my top 3 favorite films of all-time. A film I highly recommend!

Matt and Lexi Reactions

I would have to go with either 12 Angry Men (1957) or The Usual Suspects (1995). Both are absolutely amazing films. Highly recommended. But, in all honesty, it'd be extremely hard to choose between them.

I wish this had context. Like, recommend one film for this reaction channel to watch? Recommend one film to someone I bumped into socially at a party? Recommend one film that I think everyone on the planet should see because it'll make the world a better place by fostering a shared sense of understanding? Although succinct, this question is hellacious for those of us on the spectrum. LOL Okay, fine. Gun to my head, let's go with the (sadly) still extremely relevant American pop culture existentialism of... S.F.W. (1994). Final answer, Regis.

Michael Pirretti

I'd go with either National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1, or Kung Pow! Enter the Fist.

Sandra Germain

Requiem for a Dream is the most memorable film I have ever seen. But I must warn you: it's difficult to watch. It's a must-see movie for me, because we find recurring themes throughout Darren Aronofsky's work and it's always very appreciable to find the same common thread in the work of a filmmaker. And... this film will leave an impression on you, that's for sure!

Sandra Germain

Yeah! I suggested the same film before reading the other comments :)

I've never ever seen anyone react to WarHorse.. movie made by Steven Spielberg.. movies very good and not a lot of people know about this movie

Melissa Creel

The Usual Suspects most definitely. One of the best movies I've seen.

BubblyRainbows

"The Last Airbender," directed by M. Night Shyamalan

Just kidding! For real, I'd have to say either "Snatch" or "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang"

Boaty Zooka

Kingdom of heaven extended edition

Dale Smith

I don't see enough people reacting to it so I would pick 'Reign Of Fire (2002)'; starring Christian Bale and Matthew McConaughey. Post-apocalyptic, bleak modern fantasy. Not a perfect movie but Bale and McConaughey give it their all and I love the concept.

Kelby Farley

Heat from 1995 directed by Michael Mann and score by Elliot Goldenthal with all-star cast of Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer, Tom Sizemore, Diane Venora, Amy Brenneman, Ashley Judd, Wes Studi, Jon Voight, Ted Levine, Dennis Haysbert, Natalie Portman, and Danny Trejo, plus many more! One of the best movies of all time!!

Dioskur

"Scent of a woman" Al Pacinos Oscar winning performance in this movie is without equal. The topic is and will allways be relevant to everyone living in our modern society. The music and the camera work is great. I can't put it into one category, but whatever it is, this movie is the best in it. If you didnt see it, watch it. You will not regret it. Edit: Btw this movie basically ended Al Pacinos career in my opinion. Because he was so good in it, that he tried to copy himself in every movie afterwards and failed :)

ron clint

The Color Purple. Spielberg at the helm of one of the best of the 80s. The Academy snubbed it in a show of snobbery and perhaps underlying racism. For you two, the film will garner praise from story, cinematography, music, and acting in every category. Do yourself a film favor and experience the journey

12 Angry Men, the original from the 60's and not the remake from the 90's, I think this is a movie EVERYONE should see AT LEAST one time in their lives, it's a masterpiece of storytelling and movie making.

Grosse Pointe Blank. Cult 1997 black comedy/action/rom-com about a hitman (John Cusack) attending his 10-year high school reunion. Awesome cast, very funny, great action, killer soundtrack. Not enough people have seen it.

Kim

One film, that’s a tough one. Hmmm, Casablanca.

MaggieS61

Tough question. I could give one for each decade. But I think I’d say Dances With Wolves from 1990. It is Kevin Costner’s true masterpiece; ground-breaking in how Native Americans were portrayed in film, and influencing countless future movies.

Dogma

Grimbane42

The Cherokee Kid starring Sinbad.

DM DC

That is a good one! I think 3000 Miles to Graceland is also underrated.

There's a lot of good Kevin Costner films here. I'm gunna go with The Fifith Element with my boy Bruce Willis. Not sure if you've seen that yet or not but it has to be one of my all time favorites.

Casimir

After giving it much thought and deliberation, I'd have to agree on Legend. It's a classic among classics and of historic significance for launching Tom Cruise into stardom. Some might even call the movie, "a legend."

Mike Jenson

Apollo 13, The Martian and Interstellar are my favorite. You already did Apollo 13, so one of the other 2.

Blaze118

Heat or Blackhawk Down. Still hoping for Lethal Weapon 2

PumpkinHat

I've already recommended it once but I'd say The Witch. It's tough because there are other movies that I enjoy more but I feel that it is one of the best horror movies made in recent years and I think y'all will enjoy the filmmaking aspects of it.

Well you guys have coverd some of my favourites, but you still have a lot to cover :) Heat. Unforgiven. Godfather 3. Apocalypse Now. Platoon. Casino. Children Of Men. The Departed. Munich. Taxi Driver. Raging Bull. Bringing Out The Dead. But I'll give you one that otherwise you'll never consider doing, and that's a huge shame considering how good it is; Bill Paxton's Frailty. His directorial debut. A film of absolute demented genius. Believe me. It's worth it.

Maybe the only "family dysfunction road-trip-from-hell" type of story that genuinely feels joyous and downright life-affirming. And god the laughs, no matter how many times I've seen it, those funny moments still get me. Way too under the radar for sure! Love finding the like-minded communities on here. Feels like we'd all have the best time watching our favorites together.

Top 5 movie for me. Subjective obviously...but there's not a moment on screen I don't appreciate.

I'm not going to change my suggestion from earlier but I'm going to add to mine 😘... You can't ask any cinephile to pick just one because we're going to have so many, that we want to see Ari and Denise's reactions to! I would like you guys to watch Tucker and Dale vs Evil, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Miind, Freddy's Dead, Adaptation, Annihilation, Ex Machina, True Romance, Natural Born Killers, Misery, Everything Everywhere All At Once, I can keep going and I guarantee you... no matter what movie I say, everyone here 😘, will definitely want to see any one of those reactions, to any one of those movies 💯 I'm speaking facts 🤷 I respect everyone's picks and decisions but it almost doesn't matter because the bottom line, is that we want to see you react to all of them 💯😘 even if my movies don't get picked I'm super happy that you guys are watching Fallout and posting Fallout because I'm balls deep in Fallout! The show is fucking amazing and I'm super anxious for season 2... One more thing... If you have not watched X-Men 97, that would be another badass series of reaction videos, that I would love to see... It's insanely epic and dramatic and I'll go out on a limb and say that you might even shed a tear, to be honest... Besides that I can continue to recommend great movies all day long but I'm very limited 😘

The Nice Guys. There's a lot of better, more impactful and more important movies here in these comments, but The Nice Guys is so relentlessly, overwhelmingly SLEPT ON. It's gotten a bump in the last year or so but man NOBODY knows about this movie, and Ryan Gosling and Russel Crowe are absolutely fantastic in it. One of my favorite movies of all time. A lot of these others don't need recommendation, but this one does, and deserves it.

Jeremy V.

Yeah but you still snuck a whole bunch. lol

Choux D Bruxelles

I know you said film, but I just finished watching 'A Discovery of Witches' and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think you might like it, too. It's currently accessible through Amazon, here in the United States , and has three seasons. It's terrific.

Casey Kendrick

About Time (Rachel McAdams/ Domhnall Gleeson/ Margot Robbie/ Stephen Nye.). It's an absolute favorite of mine. At first glance, it seems like a superficial love story, but it quickly evolves into so much more than that. It's full of the different relationships we create throughout our lives but in a funny, heartfelt way. swing outside the box and try something a bit different.

Court

The Hateful Eight 👌

streaky

Predestination. Why? Because it's an obscure Aussie movie that almost nobody has heard of with an epic cast and a great story that's well put together. I like obscure movies that people overlook, sue me :) Edit: damn it, somebody else suggested it..

Schindler's list

Chef (2014) Jon Favreau took what it means to lose your spark and find it again and really light that flame of passion when it comes to doing something you truly love. It is my all time favorite feel good movie and I recommend it to literally everyone when they're looking for a movie to watch!

This question makes me want to write a paragraph/research paper to justify my top 50. One… okay so I will pick the one I want to watch today with a bestie. Joe vs the volcano. Meg Ryan plays 3 characters and he is just so great… It will make me want to watch Turner and Hooch

WastedPo

UNBREAKABLE (2000)... [I mean, there are a lot of other great movies out there too. That's just the one I feel like right now.]

The God father 3…. Who are you? Why? It’s so hard to watch. All I can see is everyone leaving him, yelling at him, disrespecting and disappointing him. Damnit Fredo now I want to watch it too

GypCdanger

Big Trouble in Little China - 1986 Kurt Russel in one of his top 3 all time greatest films! Kim Cattrall! Kung-fu! Chinese mysticism! So much camp, you better bring fixin’s for s’mores! Being film aficionados, I suspect you might have already seen this gem. In which case… Flash Gordon - 1980 Soundtrack by Queen! Stunning 1980’s visual effects! Max Von Sydow as Ming the Merciless! So much camp, you better bring hotdogs and bear spray!

GypCdanger

I think the movie does well as a standalone, but I hope it would suck them into Firefly!

Long shot but.. From Dusk Till Dawn if you havent seen it already. George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino, Salma Hayek. Dont look at any trailers or anything, go in 100% blind and prepare for an all time great Ride. If youve seen that (and I find most people have) then True Romance with Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Brad Pitt, Christopher Walken and more. Written by Quentin Tarantino.

Gregory Davis

I think I gotta go with Jojo Rabbit, if I have to choose only one film, at present.

Anonymouse

Kingdom of heaven (A movie almost as good as Gladiator/Ridley scott)

John Malone

Can we recommend shows? I want to know if you've seen LOST. The greatest show ever made in its time and the hate for the ending is crazy. It's an unreal show. The only thing missing watching it this way is not being able to go through every single mystery on reddit week to week.

John Malone

PRIVATE PARTS (1997) - auto biographical Howard Stern movie about his rise

I'm sorry to break the rules. Here's a few ones that would be real good fits for your channel I think: - The Matrix - The Creator - Everything Everywhere All at Once - Volcano (1997 with Tommy Lee Jones) - R.E.D. 1 and 2 (with Bruce Willis) - The Illusionist (with Edward Norton) - Batman, The Dark Knight (for Heath Leger's performance as The Joker) - Deja Vu (with Denzel Washington) - The Pink Panther 1 & 2 (with Steve Martin)

The Tuxedo with Jackie Chan and all 3 Rush Hour films for some action comedy featuring kung-fu.

Demolition Man (1993) would be fun.

Battle: Los Angeles. In a fictional universe, it has a far more plausible plot than Independence Day, better cinematography and editing, and runs the gamut of emotions from excitement to deep and tearful feels. DEFINITELY worth the watch and reaction.

“Dead Again” 1991 first time I saw Robin Williams in a quasi-serious role. “The Martian”, good flick and stories on how they got cast to react are fun.

Belekai

Not that many, or any for that matter would ever recommend this, by my suggestion is a film called "The Man From Earth". A master class in how to tell a story. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0756683/

Evan

Changeling 2008 with Angelina Jolie, John Malkovich, Jeffrey Donovan (Played Dodd in Season 2 of Fargo). Not a happy story, but unlike Fargo stories this one is based on a true story from the late 20s.

Rear Window. A master of suspense, Hitchcock.

Heat 1995 directed by Michael Mann With Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and Val Kilmer

Late to the party with this one, but... If i had to choose one movie for the channel, I'd say my favorite film, Iron Will. I think you guys would love it. It's perfectly plotted and expertly paced, with a gorgeous score. It's also loosely based on a true story, and it has one of my favorite characters of all time. If I had to choose one film for you guys to watch because of it's importance to the world, I'd say Schindler's List. It's a movie everyone should see once in their lives. You won't enjoy it, but you will love it. And you will never forget it, not for as long as you live.

Verena

Joe Wright’s Atonement. Probably one of the best written movies (the novel it is based on is outstanding), I’ve ever seen. The visuals are stunning, the soundtrack amazing, the actors are brilliant. Also, one of the most emotionally powerful films I’ve ever watched. This one wrecked me. I was still sobbing an hour after. Over the years I’ve thought about rewatching it quite a lot yet in the end I never do. I think with some knightly support, I finally would 🥰

PJ Diaz

If I had to choose ones you haven’t done already I’d say either The Game (1997) Tombstone (1993) or The Village (2004) Not the greatest films, but curious of your reactions.

Bluhawke

Stalker (1979) directed by Andrei Tarkovksy. Absolutely beautiful, and shockingly philosophical for a movie made behind the Iron Curtain. Shocking that it was allowed, not that Russians are capable of Philosophy (lol). The novella it's based on, Roadside Picnic, is some really good sci-fi and very thought provoking. Tarkovsky was a true artist. A deep dive into his works cannot be recommended enough. But it's heavy work.

Archer

the one I just paid to join after a notification for, but can't find......

Christian_Berlin

A bit late but... the John Wick movies (not sure if that was discussed before already)

Qui'Errah Marshall

That's pretty tough. I like a lot of movies. I'd probably say: Training Day(2002) or Nope(2022) for theme exploration,(Any movie with Denzel I feel you will enjoy) or Rush Hour Trilogy with Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan This dynamic duo really was a joy to watch. I think the second one was my favorite. Seeing how they got to grow as real life friends while making these movies was such a treat. And bloopers in the post credits(they're worth a laugh I promise) or Tim Burton's Corpse Bride(2005) I don't know if you're into stop motion movies that much, but I do think this movie is very beautiful. And we got Danny Elfman behind the score.

Sagitaria

I would like to recommend two. Independence Day (1996) and The Others (2001) I'm really curious with your reaction with The Others about all the camera work and the atmosphere that they create on the film.

Rui Santos

"Tremors" and "Honey I Shrank The Kids" would be great to watch you guys react!

Marili Van den Berg

I have a few suggestions: Tomb Raider 1 & 2 with Angelina Jolie The Whole Fast and the Furious saga San Andreas The day after tomorrow Into the storm

Jinxsy

Reign of Fire (2002 post-apocalyptic action/fantasy) or Identity (2003 Horror/Mystery)

Helion

I second what @Jinxsy added. Reign of Fire (2002) is a must watch.

The Rocketeer 1991, such a great comic book movie. Beautiful to look at , a great script two of the most beautiful props ever to grace the silver screen and a beautiful score by the late great James Horner

The Chronicles of Zaffaera

I would suggest Krull 1983. It's not exactly "good" but it is easily one of my favorite movies.

Razorback

Hi I’m french and I would love you guys to give a try to a french movie called « The Intouchables » by Eric Toledano & Olivier Nakache. I really enjoy your analysis on movie making and i am very curious what you would have to say about this one. Take care. See ya!

MrMordrasil

Mad God (2021) by Phil Tippett - Tippett is a legend to the industry for his stop motion, before they decided to go CG in Jurassic Park, he had done some test for them using stop motion. It’s an unusual movie, but The Man From Earth (2007) is great if you want to scratch your brain a bit.
