THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK (1997) FULL LENGTH MOVIE REACTION - WATCH ALONG

Comments

Nate Terry

Jurassic Park is my favorite movie. I watch it and Lost World every year. I never forget when I was in the 5th grade, I found in the school library the book. After I read it and put the book back I saw the sequel book on the shelf too. When I mentioned I was reading the book, my sister's boyfriend said that yeah he had the movies on VHS...I dropped dead(pre internet so you don't know something exists until you come across it in movie rental store). I love the books and the movies. they don't follow the books really at all. they took a few "book scenes" and adapted them to the movies, but otherwise, the only thing that is similar between them is that the park was made and needed experts to give their opinions and Nedry causes the animals to get loose. But everything else was different. same with the sequel book and movie. I highly recommend ppl read the books. it's like reading a new story practically.

Although the first movie is a classic and a masterpiece, this movie is my favourite in the whole franchise. One of the main reasons is Jeff Goldblum. I just love him as the lead in this. 😊

Hello, long time watcher new to the Patreon. I really want to say “Thank you,” to you both for this one especially. I’ve always liked it, but it’s been my least favorite cause I read the book first. There was so much I didn’t like about it as a teen when it came out. But your reactions and breakdown really made me appreciate it in a whole new light. Can’t wait for you to get to Jurassic World trilogy. (Make sure you catch the short “Battle at Big Rock” that’s between the 2nd and 3rd JW.

I enjoyed all five of the Jurassic movies that I've seen. I can't honestly say that they're all equal; some are just popcorn flicks. But they were all enjoyable for me, and that's good enough. I don't know if you two plan to watch all six movies, but I'm hoping you do. I haven't seen the last movie myself yet. I've been waiting for someone I follow to react to it, so I can watch along for the first time.

Can't wait for you guys to see the next movies!

I love this movie I remember watching this over and over as a kid. the guy who got ate trying to run into that movie store, was David Koepp, who wrote the screenplay for this and the first movie, adapting from the books. I always like it when movie makers get a cool cameo. speaking of kids and Steven knowing how to portray them in movies, I hope you check out Super8 and see how good JJ Abrams can do the same. on a side note, I'm wondering if The Media Knights are going to continue with the Die Hard movies? there's one left, and I know it has a rep.. but I think it's still a fun popcorn flick, like these.

Hey my friends :) Wee while since I've left a comment, but fear not, I am always around and watching your reactions :) So, so glad you guys covered this one and delighted to see you got so much out of it. Doubtless people have already commented on the Warren Zevon connection :) I've always loved this film but after I become a Zevonite I developed a new appreciation for it when I heard he'd named two of the characters after the stars of his iconic Roland The Headless Thomson Gunner. The deleted scenes make the link even more explicit :) Pete Postlethwaite, as Roland, was outstanding. Goldblum was at his best. It was also great to see The West Wing's Richard Schiff in such a good role, and he nailed it. But it was truly brilliant to see Arlis Howard, from Full Metal Jacket (he was Cowboy) play such a wonderful role in the movie as the sleazy Ludlow :) Guys, that was great :) It won't be such a long time till you hear from me again :) In the meantime I'm eagerly awaiting Heat, The Godfather 3 and a few others ;) Hehe.

This is probably my favorite. The first is iconic of course, but this one has more nostalgia for me. I actually remember my parents taking me to the theater at 10 to see this and I absolutely loved it. Especially when the Rex rampage through the city and I wanted to see more of that. I always look forward to that part every time.

Irby

Gotta love the scene where she's hanging on with one hand while pulling roof tiles....suddenly everyone in these movies have the strength of captain America

Michael G. Munz

"So these animals have been living here unsupervised..." They're throwing keggers, they're having unprotected sex, they're doing things at home that should only be done by professional drivers on closed roads... ;)

Pretty much why no action movie ever made is interesting.

The Media Knights

Hey…it’s movie world. Sometimes we gotta let some things slide 😂

The Media Knights

Such a cool visual contrast to see the T-Rex in the middle of a city. Honestly 1 and 2 go perfect together. They each have very different tones that we felt complimented each other very well.

The Media Knights

So cool getting to see Arlie Howard in such a different role than what we got with “FMJ”. Glad you enjoyed revisiting this one! We got an Al Pacino film lined up quite soon 😄 ❤️

The Media Knights

That is an awesome cameo! We’d love to get killed on screen by a Dino 🤣 what an honor. Great suggestion! Adding “Super8” to the list! Aaaand yes, well most likely watch the last Die Hard movie, the same way we watched Alien3. Even if it had a bad rep we watch anyway and asses from there 😄

The Media Knights

Good to hear you enjoyed all of them! We’ll definitely be watching the entire saga. Which one is your favorite? 😃

The Media Knights

Hello Jesse! Thank you for joining. It always warms our hearts to hear when a viewer that gives a full a second chance ends up appreciating it a bit more. It’s happened to us countless times where a film didn’t quite resonate with us and on second viewing it became much more enjoyable. Can’t wait to share the rest of the journey with you!

The Media Knights

Jeff Goldblum was great as the lead here! Such great charisma! Glad you enjoyed the sequel. 😃

The Media Knights

We’re definitely game to read the books! We’ve heard nothing but great things about the story.

BubblyRainbows

Well, there's just no match in the series for the first one. The original is still the best!

Leuvie

Just have to say, Sarah is even more badass in the novel. Ian completely loses his shit and takes some pain meds and totally gives up - SARAH is the one who has to climb/carry him out if the fucking falling trailer!

Due to my mother's job, I was actually one of the first people in America to see this. Not like "world premiere" but she got advance tickets, we saw it a week or so before it came out in theaters and there was free Sprite for me to drink. I had already read the book, so I was a wee bit grumpy about the changes they made. But I still enjoyed the movie. But, still grumpy no Dilophosaurus.
