BATMAN BEGINS (2005) FULL LENGTH MOVIE REACTION - WATCH ALONG

Comments

Bxb

Well I got here early , damn

Michael Rutter

I can’t wait to watch this. I also can’t wait for you to see The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger as the Joker is such a good villain.

Melissa Creel

YAAS!!! Love these. Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Liam Neeson, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and that's not even all. Such a loaded cast. You guys have been on it!! LETS GO!!

Stacey K

Oh heck yessss!

Joey Cintron

Christan Bale goes hard as Batman. I would love to see him 1v1 Robert Pattinson's Batman. LMAO

Brian Albright

Oh snap I know what I’m watching tonight! Imo, the best origin story movie of any super hero.

PumpkinHat

This movie is great. The prelude to my favorite movie of all time. There's so much nuance and subtlety in the writing here. "Criminals thrive on the indulgences of society's 'understanding'." It's one of those lines that makes you uncomfortable because you understand that there is some truth to it, but also all stick and no carrot has never worked and some people do bad things out of desperation or bad judgement which Bruce comes to understand while away from Gotham. But then he also says "There are some people without decency who must be fought without pity or remorse." This we understand because truly there are some people who act out of pure malice and selfishness. Telling the difference between those who act out of desperation and those who act out of malice and selfishness is a very difficult thing to do. Was Chill (the guy who killed his parents) acting out of desperation? He certainly said so, but as you pointed out he shot them even though they were cooperating. Does that mean he wasn't desperate? No. But did he have to take away this little boy's parents? Also no. The irony is that by acting out of desperation he killed one of the men who was actually trying to fight against the rot that was taking over the city and causing said desperation. There's so much more I could talk about and believe it or not The Dark Knight is even better. I can't wait to see y'all's reaction to it.

Eddy Lheat-99

Christian bale best bruce wayne and as always gr8 storytelling by Mr nolan and a gr8 beginning to a awesome trilogy

Marat Nuriev

The Dark Knight is my favourite of all time too!

Jordan Williams

Friday night movie secured!!! Let me go find a copy 😂

DM DC

This made me so happy. I love these films. Batman was always one of my all time favorite superheros. I love Batman. I loved the Tim Burton films so much. Batman Forever was fun but also not at the calibur of the first two. Batman & Robin angered me. I thought Batman movies would never happen again, and then this movie came out. I honestly cried; I was so happy after seeing this film. The Dark Knight I thought was even better. My absolute favorite. I surely hope you'll be continuing the Nolen Trilogy. I'm especially hoping for The Dark Knight.

Errolowl

What does it say about me that I can watch this entire reaction without my own copy running, and I know exactly what is on the screen at any given time? 😄

Duarte Dunn

I took a photo with the full scale Batmobile in 2018. It was on display for nearly one month in front of my job at Orlando Icon Park. It is a very unique vehicle. I enjoyed your reactions and thank you for bringing me back into the presence of a great movie. I'm even more pumped up to see you react to the sequel 'The Dark Night.'

Maxxwell Denton

So starts the trilogy of films that caused a generation of children to pretend to be Batman. But actually just come off sounding like 85 year old asthmatic chain smokers. I can not wait to see the review, you two.

The Media Knights

Omg no way, that's soo cool!!! Thank you so much for your kind words, we're so glad you came along for the ride! ❤️

The Media Knights

Hahahah hey I (Denise) can think of a couple of movies myself lol. Some movies just need to be watched over and over again, an infinite amount of times!

The Media Knights

Nolan absolutely killed it with this, and we loved Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne! What a fantastic beginning, we can't wait to share the rest!

The Media Knights

Aw man, we're so happy that this made you happy, reading this really put the biggest smile on our faces! Batman has had so many ups and downs, and wonderful iterations - each with something unique and wonderful to offer, but it really felt touch and go for a while! This trilogy really changed the trajectory of superhero movies forever! We can't wait to continue this trilogy with you all!

The Media Knights

Ahahahah that would be a sight to behold for sure!! Who do you think would win??

The Media Knights

This is such a wonderful breakdown and voiced our thoughts exactly! There are so many rich themes in this movie that are worth looking deeper into! Like you said, Ra's Al Ghul made a few good points - with some people the carrot thing doesn't work, and as much as it hurts to say, that's when it becomes all stick - even though it shouldn't be that way. Chill is such a great example too - he seemed scared, and on edge, yet seeing that little boy should've caused him to stop and think. But Falcone makes a great point when Bruce goes to confront him. Bruce thinks he understands, but his privilege prevented him from fully embracing what the people of Gotham have been going through. It's also really interesting how you see those who have a very clear, black and white view of things in this movie, versus the ones who allow for more nuance, like Bruce vs Rachel. Rachel, of course, is right to explain the difference of justice and revenge, but she also will never understand the trauma that Bruce went through, having his parents torn away from him in that way. Gahhh so many amazing moments to break down, can't get to them all!!

The Media Knights

Seriously though, what a cast?!?!?! We are so pumped to share this one with you guys, as well as the rest of the trilogy! Hope you enjoy!

The Media Knights

Ohhhh we are PUMPED for The Dark Knight, that's gonna be amazing!

Bhagavath Singh

Will be watching today , gonna be a 🔥 series

Michael Keefer

Got to say. As a lifelong fan of movies I remember all the actors. I can tell who the director is based on the style of movie but I never payed attention to costume designers, music or all the other aspects of a movie that make it great until I started watching your reaction videos so thank you for paying attention and pointing out the people that are "behind the scenes" helping ro make these movies and TV shows great and educating me on who they are. Now I watch a movie I've seen 100 times under a different lens and find a new way to love it

Luis Ramirez

This version of nolan batman is so great cause it makes you wonder and believe that a batman could exist in real life and this will always be my most favorite batman and the next movie just gets better

Joey Cintron

After watching Pattinson as The Batman I have to put my money on him. He's just angry Batman. Also just watched the first episode of The Penguin. OMG Dude genius show!!!!

cindygrape

Your comment about the Arkham games brought me back when I had the Arkham Asylum on my Xbox 360 (I was obsessed with it) and that prompted me to check how much it is for PS5 rn and it was on sale!! I got both asylum and city remastered with mere 6 euros!! I loooove this trilogy I'm so happy you're revisiting it!

BERSERKER HALL OF REVIEW S

Because you were young when the first one came did you two see the other two ? I love first watches but also when it comes to your channel I am very interested in the way your viewing films no matter if it’s a first watch or a revisit. It really has impacted the way my channal and viewing films this past couple of years . 😄your not just a very entertaining highlight of my day but also a learning experience.

Xilent Xteven

Great Movie!! You’re going to have to continue thee trilogy now that you’ve started it 😁

DM DC

Sweet! Really excited for that! So this will be a re-watch for you both correct? But with a new perspective with your filmmaking backgrounds being more developed since the release of the next two films? Either way, I am excited! Take care you two. See yas next installment!

Pato004

good reaction, hopefully they will react to jurassic world camp cretaceous soon

BlueJean452

I recently saw Hans Zimmer live on his US tour. He played the Dark Knight suite live and it was absolutely amazing to hear in person.

BlueJean452

Also, it’s probably too long to do reactions to, but I highly encourage you guys to check out the Gotham series that Fox started in 2014. It had 5 seasons (100 episodes) and focused on a younger Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon. It also flushes out a lot of the villains, including Scarecrow, in a really amazing way. While the scene with Thomas & Martha Wayne was heartbreaking in this movie, the way that scene was portrayed in Gotham will always be the best IMO simply because of David Mazouz’s portrayal of Bruce Wayne in that moment.

Daniel Karlsson

Nolans trilogy is very good. I completely agree that they managed to make Batman truly human and not just a superhero. It is one of the things that is hard to execute regarding Batman. Also, it is a hell of a ride! Sleek, beautiful and bombastic, but also done with very keen eye on the details. This trilogy is some of my favorite superhero-movies. I'm assuming you will do the full trilogy, which is great. I would however also make a case for the newer "The Batman" with Robert Pattinson. It finally truly makes Batman a detective, which is true to the original comic. Also, it is a very suspensful movie. The spin-off show "The Penguin" is starting so it might be fun to watch the movie and see if the show is worth watching. Just a suggestion. Other superhero movies you should check out if you haven't seen them: Kick-Ass (2010) The Shadow (1994) Unbreakable (2000) Watchmen (2009) Hellboy (2004) Blade (1998)

AniLunchbox

It's terrible that Tom Wilkinson didn't receive a single nomination anywhere for the "Power you can't buy." monologue.

Qui'Errah Marshall

I'm gonna say this as someone who has watched this trilogy dozens of times, you will love the second movie. Also if you're interested to see another badass moral character, I'd love to see you react to the Equalizer Trilogy.

Nya

Ageed wholeheartedly to the equalizer

Matthias Fendl

i didn't know Celebrimbor is in this

Stephen Caveney

Seen loads of times, but what a way to rewatch with 2 old friends. Great reaction and cant wait to more of Alfred the GOAT. 🤘🤘

JayDee AhBooWan

Usually I just watch your reactions on YT but once in awhile, for movies I truly care about, I bust out the full length movie and do the full watch along. I’m glad I did it for this one. Seeing Ari’s excitement and Denise’s emotional reaction is truly great. Even though you have already seen it, it’s been quite awhile and I can truly see your appreciation for this movie. I hope you enjoyed and watch DK and DKR(as well as all other Christopher Nolan movies… *cough cough* as well as my recommendations🤣). I can’t wait for the next reactions guys!

Tatiana Ferreira

"didn't you get the memo?" Gets me every time! What a great mic drop scene! 🤣🤣 Thanks for the reaction, I'll be waiting for The Dark Knight, which is one of my favourite movies of all time 🙌

The Media Knights

UGH that didn't you get the memo initially pissed us off so much, but then hearing Fox use it against him was just so satisfying!!! Thank you so much for the support, we can't wait to share The Dark Knight with y'all very soon!

The Media Knights

That's so kind of you, we're so glad you joined us for the full length reaction!! We honestly were blown away by how darn good this movie was - so many little details and nuances we missed since we saw this last! We cannot wait for DK and DKR, but also for a few more Christopher Nolan movie rewatches with y'all, it's gonna be fun!!

The Media Knights

Aw thank youuu, this comment brightened our day!! Alfred is definitely the GOAT and his roasts burn hotter than hell 😂

The Media Knights

We cannot wait for The Dark Knight, it's gonna be one heck of a journey!! Also yesss, the Equalizer is on our list and we'll try to get to it very soon!! Thank you for the recommendation both of you!

The Media Knights

Right?! That monologue stayed with us - it highlighted the different experiences and separation in privilege so incredibly well and with such nuance! Tom Wilkinson's performance in that was amazing!

The Media Knights

Thank you for your recommendations, we're so excited for them! We have seen The Batman, but when it first came out and we would love to do a rewatch and do a deeper dive in to that one! We absolutely loved The Batman!

The Media Knights

OMG what is it like to have lived our dream?! Seeing Hans Zimmer live is on our bucket list! We would be super game to check out the Gotham series, we heard some pretty good things about it! If our schedule allows us we may be able to cover it!

JayDee AhBooWan

Can’t wait to see your reactions! Christopher Nolan is one of my top favorite Directors! Tenet is a must watch and also a rewatch as you pick up so much more through that movie. Inception and interstellar are also great. To tell you the truth all of Christopher Nolan movies are a must rewatch. But let’s get through your first reactions

The Media Knights

It's on our list for sure! Thank you so much for your support and kindness, we appreciate you!

The Media Knights

We have indeed watched the trilogy indeed, but we're definitely gonna be giving them all a rewatch since it really has been years! We've been loving sharing our journey with y'all and it's honestly been such a pleasure! Your support and kindness really made our day, it's so great to have you with us here! You rock!

The Media Knights

No wayyy, that's awesome, 6 Euros is a deal!! You definitely gotta play them again and we would love to know how you feel about the games now !

The Media Knights

Exactly this!! The way Nolan handled The Batman, he actually feels like a feasible character now and that's an incredible feat! We can't wait for The Dark Knight, it's gonna be awesome!

The Media Knights

Haha duude this is such a great comment, thank you so so much, what a compliment! As the years have gone by, and all the amazing movies we got to watch thanks to our channel, our way of viewing movies has also changed quite a bit! It's really the 'behind the scenes' folks that truly round out a film and showing them the love they deserve is the least we can do! Filmmaking truly is a collaborative effort and when everyone is passionate, the outcome is truly magical!

The Media Knights

Thank you so much for your suppport, for joining us and also for your recommendations! We'll definitely be adding them to the list and can'[t wait to get to them soon! We'll check our DMs, thank you for the headsup!

AniLunchbox

It also serves to ground the human criminals in Gothams' world of villan theatricality. Batman might get the glory when he locks away the masked villains, but it's the unmasked yet confident ones that regularly supply fear to the city.

Donna Castellano

I hope you rewatch The Batman. The third act had its issues but I really loved how Pattinson portrayed Bruce and the look at where his mindset was in Year 2. Also, you planning to check out the Penguin series? I'm waiting for about 4 episodes to drop before watching. I'll need several to decide how I'll feel about it.

BlueJean452

Literally just scrolled back to find this comment to let you guys know Hans Zimmer just announced new US tour dates and he’s gonna be in New York 2/6/2025. Tickets go on sale on Wednesday. Maybe you guys can check off that bucket list 😁

psylenced

You can see the actual Batman Tumbler on Jay Leno's Garage youtube channel. He actually gets to drive it and break it down on the video.
