BRIGHTBURN (2019) FULL LENGTH MOVIE REACTION - WATCH ALONG

Red Dwarf

Ooooo I really liked this one

Haha, holy shit! Can't believe you guys did this! I have a vague memory of enjoying this movie for whatever the hell it is, and this is a great excuse to rewatch it. Also, very cool that you were willing to take the time for this one. In a similar vein... and I am constantly/annoyingly asking people to watch these, but please PLEASE consider checking out Ravenous (1999) and Moon (2009). Two totally different films, but the score + plot combo they achieve is so.... undeniable.

It's so cool watching this right after watching Kill Bill Vol 2 for the first time with y'all's reaction, I keep thinking about Bill's monologue about Superman.

SavageDiplomat

There was supposed to be a dark universe of films with evil heroes. Thats why they mentioned the evil aquaman etc but sadly as much as i love this film it didn't do well financially so it was scraped.

Gregory Stapleton

This one is nowhere near a warm up to his new Superman movie. Ha!

Ultrx

I actually enjoyed this movie when it first came out. I recommend Chronicle if you two haven't watched it yet. Its like a superman style found footage movie with Michael B Jordan, Dane DeHaan and Alex Russell. Definetly a good watch!

Brad Shreve

Check out the 1983 TV movie "The Day After." 100 million people watched it when it aired and were terrified, fascinated, angry... There was so much controversy that ABC agreed not to run ads during the 2nd half. It's a tad cheesy because of the time but a great disaster movie that gets overlooked.

Loved this reaction. I didn't even know this movie existed before you guys reacted to it! Also I loved your reaction on the two Indian movies you watched. Some more i recommend watching include Jawan (2023) and the Krrish series (Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish and Krrish 3).

The Media Knights

Haaaa, that's perfect timing right there! That's actually a great connection, now you got us thinking about that monologue too!

It's honestly such a shame that the universe of evil heroes thing didn't happen - imagine all the fun they could have had with those characters, the stories they could have told! Gaaahhh life sucks sometimes!

The Media Knights

Hahaha we got the evil version, now let's see what he does with Superman we know and love!

The Media Knights

I remember that TV movie so well, at least the feeling behind it. We were all worried that we were on the brink of disaster most of the time back then. And we certainly came close to it. And then Chernobyl happened for real 3 years later.

I think an evil Batman would be a serial killer since he has no powers like Jack the Ripper. I can see it! Homelander would be proud! James Gunn said a sequel is unlikely due to right issues which is unfortunate.
