Comments

Melissa Creel

YAAS!!! This is such a great movie. Pre Crime is such a scary concept. And this movie lays out why. So glad you did this. Can't wait to enjoy it with you. You guys are awesome!!!!. P.S. So glad you got Real Steel back up. Ya'lls reactions were great. As per usual😁

Jordan Williams

I've had this movie on my watchlist for a while, but kept forgetting about it. Now I get to experience it for the first time with you guys!!

Turnt SNACO

YESSSSSS. One of my favorite Sci Fi movies, been trying to get a few people to watch this, but can't think of two reactors who would appreciate it more.

Turnt SNACO

Nice, hope you're prepared to watch it several more times because it's one of those "you don't quite get it all the first time, or the next time" sort of films. It makes it great to watch again and again though, because there's always something you'll see/figure out that you didn't on previous watches.

Jordan Williams

My favorite sort of film!! Thanks for the heads-up.

The Media Knights

Love films that are thought provoking and this one did just that! Hopefully more people check it out!

The Media Knights

Thank you so much! We’re so glad we got the video back, it was a tough fight but we did it! Hope you enjoy the watch ❤️😁

Love this movie. Tom Cruise doesnt miss. There is actually a dark and morbid theory about the ending. The theory is that John Anderton never escaped and is actually still haloed and the ending is just what he wants coming true. Remember what the guy said about your life flashing before your eyes and all your dreams coming true. John would want to get Lamaar, shut down pre crime and reunite with his love Lara.

James Forrest

Guys!!!! Outstanding choice!! I know it's been a while since I've posted, but you could not have picked a better movie to bring me home! The whole concept - of punishing crimes before they are committed - is tremendous and not as far from fiction as some people seem to think. Read up on ARPA's studies on body language as predictative behaviour ... scary stuff. The movie covers every angle, including the idea that none of us really has agency, that our lives are on a pre-determined path that we are absolutely unable to alter. Another scary thought, and one that most people reject utterly but which lingers, horribly, on the edge of consciousness. It's a big film with big ideas. And a great cast; has Cruise ever been better? (Yes, twice; in A Few Good Men and again in Collateral.) There is just enough slipperyness in Farrell to make you think he's a bastard ... then you discover he has integrity and is only concerned with the truth. Max Von Sydow is ever reliable and typically brilliant and Samantha Morton's turn is almost movie-stealing; she's that good as Agatha. Lois Smith, as Iris, is also quite brilliant. One of my favourite films, guys, and here's a wee factoid for you; it was optioned, originally, as a planned sequal to Total Recall; another Philip. K. Dick story and one I loved your review of and about which I am a huge nerd :) Great to be back guys. Keep them coming!

Jacob Goetz

Will yall watch Andor season 2?

PumpkinHat

Another story that deals with this concept is the anime Psycho Pass which has almost exactly the same plot of judging people for crimes before they are committed but it takes a different perspective on it. I don't want to spoil what that perspective is because it's really cool when it is revealed.

Helion

I think this is my favorite role played by Collin Farrell. Acts like a scumbag, but in the end he's one of the good guys...

Kyutoko

I am so upset too, Denise. Witwer won me over. Haven't seen the movie in twenty years so it's kinda like I'm watching it the first time too. The scene with Agatha describing Sean's possible future to his parents, made me cry. Spielberg does know how to direct, don't he?

bhargavi pba

And it hurts when he just dies like that!

Tatiana Ferreira

You should watch "A.I. artificial intelligence" if you haven't already. It's a Steven Spielberg movie too from 2001. And it also poses interesting moral questions you would probably enjoy.

Lord Insidious

It occurs to me, whether for the channel or your own viewing pleasure, Predestination with Ethan Hawke, has uh, some similarities in ideas with regards to what's predestined. Underrated gem and my all time fave in that specific genre

luciano marvelli

Yeah, this is weird and entertaining, and extremely invasive. I don’t know what happened to that question you guys had but it disappeared from my feed so if you like sci-fi horror Event Horizon is an excellent movie. Also another extremely weird movie is also Fallen with Denzel Washington John Goodman, James Gandolfini, bunch of people.

Mister Lou

"It was Agatha All Along!" LoL! I love this movie but I gotta say I love The Adjustment Bureau (2011) even more! please add that to the list, if you haven't yet seen it. As always, keep up the good work!

Ed R

Great reaction to Minority Report! There is another Philip K Dick movie adaptation that you two would really love. It’s called A Scanner Darkly. It stars Keanu Reeves, Robert Downy Jr, Woody Harrelson, and Winona Ryder. It has an extremely interesting sci-fi plot and it’s filmed using Rotoscoping.

Donna Castellano

This was the first thing I saw him in and immediately sought out his other films until that point. I haven't seen some of his more recent stuff but I've seen almost all of his films.

Helion

For me, it was The Phone Booth

Holy Arathi

Yeah I don’t understand what’s going on. I’ve tried 7 different movies now and about the 2:30-3:30 minute mark the movie screen shrinks down, shifts to to the left side of the page and fuzzes over and it remains the way the rest of the video. But it doesn’t do that on YouTube. Can anyone advise what’s causing that?

Robert Robillard 🇨🇦

How are You Playing the Movie❓️ on a PC, Laptop etc ... Where are You Watching & What Player are You using❓️ (if any..) Provide more Details & I'll TRY to Help You figure this Out.

Holy Arathi

7 different movies and from my phone on the app same as I’ve always done. The weird thing is it doesn’t do this with any of the other Patreon pages I watch.

The Media Knights

Hey Joshua! All of the full length reactions on here are in watch along format. You need your own copy to sync it with the reaction.

Robert Robillard 🇨🇦

Do You Sync the Reaction Video to another Source ie: DVD, BluRay or another Source - it's Required to Follow along. Seeing that your Watching the Reaction from your Phone, a Phone is not Large enough for the Reaction to Shrink or Jump around the Screen - it could be a Issue with the App, or something else. I, can't See the Issue as it Happens makes it Difficult to Diagnose and find a Solution.

Holy Arathi

Yeah I don’t have a copy and even if I bought one I’d have no idea how to sync it anyway. I’ve never heard of doing that.

Holy Arathi

That’s also why it’s weird since I’ve only ever used my phone for Patreon and it’s only this patron I’ve had issues with. So I’m kind of at a loss.

Robert Robillard 🇨🇦

Joshua., I, apologize again - I, usually Download the said Reaction to my PC, then Sync it up with my own Digital Copy. How You do it - again would need to See the Issues as they Happen to fully Be able to Help.

Holy Arathi

And since it’s Patreon I can’t share a photo or video of it happening. So I’m just out of luck.

Robert Robillard 🇨🇦

I, Have the Information & I, will do some Research to TRY to Find a clear Solution & I, will get in Touch, If I, Find one or not.

The Media Knights

Hey Joshua, once again, this is a watch along reaction. You NEED your own copy or else it’s not gonna work. It’s not Patreon itself, it’s the format. Other creators choose to also include the film in their reactions. We choose not to, long story short it’s essentially ilegal re distribution of a film. Even though it’s a reaction you are still charging people money for what’s essentially access to also seeing the movie. If the format doesn’t work for you, no biggie, send us a DM and we’ll gladly refund you ❤️

Holy Arathi

Ok that makes more sense. Thank you for the explanation. I just didn’t understand why it was happening. And I’d never heard of it being done like that. I’m not a reactor a know literally nothing about copy write law or how the formats work or even that there were other formats. And no biggie it’s only 9 dollars so y’all can keep it you guys deserve at least that. But I am poor and can’t afford to buy my own copy of every movie you guys watch as much as I would love to do that. It’s either that or pirate the movie which I won’t do. But again, thank you for telling me and I’ll keep watching you guys on YouTube. :)

The Media Knights

Thank you Joshua for your support and understanding! We hope we can continue to do so on YT! Have an amazing day 😁

Robert Robillard 🇨🇦

Hey Joshua., Glad to See Ari & Denise smoothed it out for You, so You could Understand the process as a Whole. Take care... 🌻

Holy Arathi

I hope you keep posting on YouTube. I don’t want to lose the best reaction channel on the site.

Donna Castellano

Since yall liked this so much, you ought to check out 1997's Gattaca. With Ethan Hawke, Jude Law and Uma Thurman. It has such a cool premise. A Sci fi set in the future. Won't give any details cause it just has to be experienced.

Donna Castellano

Too many people trash Event Horizon. I saw that in the theatre with my dad and we walked out fairly mind blown. Just wish the deleted footage hadn't been damaged. I would LOVE to see a Director's Cut/Extended Edition of it.

Turnt SNACO

Have y'all seen Twelve Monkeys (1995)?? It's an absolute mind-trip of a sci-fi flick, and impressively competent, if a bit strange (it's directed by Terry Gilliam). It has my personal favorite performance of Bruce Willis'. I think it's legitimately his best, though Brad Pitt steals the show a bit. It's just a wild ride y'all should take sometime. ❤️ An absolute gem of a film that will keep you on the edge of your seat and guessing all the way to the end. The Game with Michael Douglas is another thriller in the same boat, best watched with minimal foreknowledge of its contents.

Donna Castellano

I honestly like the sync format. I've been a patron of reactors who've uploaded the film as well in the past and it gets on my nerves after a while the actual film is so small on the screen. And I've got a 55" TV. Plus, it feels more like I'm sitting on the sofa with the reactors I do support and am watching a movie with them.

JRCortez

When A.I. came out many people/critics didn't like it, too much of a downer. They were expecting another E.T. 😆 but I love it.....

JF Ranger

Dropping three things here for you MediaKnights. First, I did sub to Paramount+ to watch this with you guys. What you do here is full of positives for the film industry. Second, I watched this movie a long time ago and even if I remembered most of the scenes and the plot, this thriller is so well done that I was drawn into it again from start to finish. Still amazing in 2025. A million thumbs up for the makers. And third, watching it alongside you was very very fun. Your reactions and comments were spot on as always. As a bonus, you should definitely blind-watch Equilibrium with Christian Bale, directed by Kurt Wimmer. Don't even read about it, just load it, and whenever you're ready, just go ahead and cook some popcorn, then press play, in 3... 2... 1... 🍿

@srjcalonso

You would enjoy his early performance in “The Firm” when he was honing his dramatic skills.
