I gotta say it... BEST OPENING IN THE FRANCHISE. FD2 is CLOSE 2nd place but this takes the cake. So over the top... so big and grand. Epic. Loved this whole thing.

NGL this might've been my favorite of the franchise had me in the edge of my seat from the very first scene 🔥

Should do a movie reaction with the perfect mix anytime since your good friends with them

Christopher Larimer

Well damn, I just watched this with Eric Reacts yesterday...guess I get to watch it again already ;)

Kayla Gerber

Death was throwing a party at the end there with the end credit song.

Dee

Not us getting teary eyed at Tony Todd's goodbye. I didn't know until after I saw this in theaters that they told him to speak to his fans so now I feel a little more emotional when I see that scene🥹🥹

Daniel B

I see you look scary movie you would like not another teen movie

Kitana Mayo

The MRI scene is based on a true story of a person who got crushed while in the machine. The best death was Erik's. And here I thought no death could beat the two girls in the tanning machine.

Two underrated things about this movie are the CGI and the set design. Especially in the opening sequence. Very good, especially for a mid budget film like this.

I really appreciate the way they changed up the formula. I was confused at first with Iris and it being the 60s. Then I was like, this could be interesting, seeing this in a vastly different time period. But it flips to Stefani in present day and I was confused as well as a bit let down. However, as it progressed, I liked that the premonition was so far in the past and it wasn't the main character having it, not in the traditional way. Given Iris said her premonition mightve passed to Stefani bevause of Iris being diagnosed with cancer the same time period Stef's nightmare started kind of lends credence to the psychic theory. All of the previous visions were from people whose abilities were suddenly awakened, allowing them to glimpse Death's design. Usually, I can excuse the wacky stuff leading to the deaths, but having lived by tracks almost my entire life, I had to laugh at the penny derailment. You guys watched Unstoppable a few months ago. You saw what a train did to derailers 🤣. But I had to suspend my disbelief more than any other set up in the series. Before this, the roller coaster incident from 3 was the biggest. I did like Tony Todd's character was debunked as being a form of Death. It was clever how they worked in how he knew and made it fit with all of his appearances in the franchise to date. I'm also glad the filmmakers decided not to have a post credits scene showing JB finally getting caught by Death. Given the real life situation with TT, that would have been in bad taste. IMHO. Lastly, I think 4 is the only complete waste of time in the franchise. 5 went back to it feeling like an actual movie. If you didn't know it was a FD film, you wouldn't have guessed it. The characters were probably the most rounded since the first movie, even tho 3 is my personal favorite of the series. And the twist was great fun. Oh, one last thing, was I crazy for thinking the actress playing young Iris sounded exactly like Anna Faris??! She had almost the exact tempo and tone to AF's voice. I thought it was her for a few moments at the beginning, in the car. Just putting that out there, to see if it's just me being crazy or what.

Penny for your thoughts?

Joey Patterson

A really cool thing is everyone that had visions in the pervious movies were the relatives from the people that didn't die in the skyview

Qui'Errah Marshall

We 'bout to traumatize a whole 'nother generation with this one, LMAO!! It's cause of these movies I don't wanna do tanning beds or get nervous when there's bridge traffic and log trucks

Michael G. Munz

One thing I've always wished for this series was some explanation of where the premonitions themselves are coming from. I've always thought it would be cool if, since Death is chasing everyone and trying to fix Its design, we learn that the visions are being sent by Life. Or maybe Paco. 😁 (I figure Stephen King would like that angle 🐢)

Mister Lou

Penny for your thoughts? Dude, Eric was MVP for this movie! My favourite line is "That's why he always wanted to play catch?!?!" LoL My favourite death was the kid at the beginning! LoL (sorry, not sorry. kid was a dick)

My ranking for these movies now will be 2, 1/5 -sometimes 5/1, Bloodlines, 3, 4. My favorite thing about 5 is how it circles back to flight 180. I loved seeing Tony Todd (RIP) again. Didn't expect him to be back. I also thought the twist that Bloodworth was also marked in his childhood was a neat twist - but I am still wanting to know how he knows people when they come in to see him. One could chalk it up to him seeing the news or something but I don't think every person that visits him for advise has been in the papers/news. There was definitely something more to his character. The opening of this was pretty good. But the pile up is still tops for me. I liked the overall twist of this film. But the working backwords in the 2nd film is also still my favorite. I do gotta say having someone else's premonition being dreamt by someone else and finding out it's their grandchild, was pretty cool. But I still feel like there are a few holes in the plot with that. The lore doesn't quite match up to the others really. However I still really do enjoy this film. I love all the little nods to the previous films.

so i kinda figured out that the people in the past movies might not have necessarily been related to the skyview people but my theory is that the reason the main characters of each movie had those visions is because someone AROUND THEM that was prob never shown were prob a child or grandchild of who was at the sky view if that makes sense. like the ones who had the visions they ALL still had their parents in their lives so they could not have been related to them but again for example: in the first movie when Alex got the vision, someone on that plane(or could be the ones from the 5th movie plot twist) had to have been directly related to a sky view person and death was trying to come for them. same for the 2nd movie when Kimberly got the vision(someone on highway 180 THAT WAS NEVER SHOWN) was prob related to someone from the sky view. and same for all the other movies. now I'm still not 100 percent sure why all the main characters had visions but my only theory for that is that maybe death was trying to warn that person ONLY and trying to save just that one person but ofc that person had to go mess up the vision and save people who weren't supposed to be saved and that's how they all got on death hit list. hope that made sense, i have been sitting on this theory for awhile now and after seeing this movie my theory makes complete sense lmaoo

also in the beginning when the hostess said that they let Jake go, i figured out that because they let jake go, paul and iris were never supposed to be there and they could have just left and avoided everything that "happened"

Asia R

one more thing. apart of me feels like the ending was another premonition that stephanie had. the reason im saying this is because she pricked her finger on the rose she put on charlie and those normally start the premonitions. i could be wrong im not sure
