Hi 👋 Ari & Denise Hope You Both are Doing well ... "IRON MAN 3" 1st • Thankyou for this Reaction 2nd • While I, Love this Trilogy .. Honestly this One is not MY., Favorite - that Doesn't mean it's a BAD Movie, it's not., It just Doesn't Match up with the First Two in this Trilogy (in MY., Opinion..) Many Times, Both of You have Mentioned that WE ALL., Have our own Likes & Dislikes for Movies & 'NOBODY' Should Criticize others for What they Like or Not., it's usually a Person's View on the said Content .. & not the Actual Content itself (or it could Be, at Times..) - It has Happened. Nevertheless : I, will 'REWATCH' again, with You Both., as that always Makes the Overall Viewing Experience., Better & more Enjoyable. again .. Mandarin and the Ten Rings are real in MCU too tho but it doesn't happen until after Endgame :P Edit: I get the criticism of what they did with Mandarin in the movie, but after watching Shang Chi, I understand why they changed the villain. I feel like they shouldn't have brought in Ten Rings at all and developed Aldrich Killian more. They could've still kept the plotline of Killian creating a fake terrorist org but not reference Ten Rings. They tie it up later tho and the actual "Mandarin" is way scarier and cooler.

"They just Gwen Stacy'd us!" Denise no, too soon! LOL Sir Ben Kingsley, just... the range. Please tell me Age of Ultron is next. I wanna see Igor evolve into Veronica. While not the best Iron Man movie, the final action scene completely makes it worth watching.

It could be that the outrage over what they did to the Mandarin and the Ten Rings in this movie prompted the production of Shang Chi. If that's the case, I'll take it!

They ruined Mandarin and had to fix the character with Shang-Chi.

Sooo, I know it's a big ask, but would you guys ever consider watching Agents of Shield? Post Iron Man 3 is the perfect time to start Season 1! I know the 'canon' of the show is often debated, but at least the first few seasons were made to be canon and interact with the movies, and the story lines and character themselves make the show worth it! It is legitimately one of my favorite shows and I think you'd really enjoy it, as well as having a great reaction and perspective on it :)

Aside from the plot twist and all the stuff with the Mandarin, I really enjoy Tony's personal arc in this one. Wish we saw more of Harley!

I am sure everyone knew where Tony lived, it was more the challenging a terrorist thing. The director of this movie wrote the Lethal Weapon movies. You should check out Shane Black's other films Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (also starring RDJ) and The Nice Guys. The Mandarin from the comics is a bit of a problematic character and I don't think anyone could come up with an updated interpretation and then decided to go this route... which I actually enjoyed. I think that build up and then the rug pull made it unexpected in a fantastic way. I feel like they acknowledged that Killian was deep into the whole plot pretty early with that first detonation at the Chinese Theater. I also just caught when Tony was first looking into the Mandarin, he even commented that it seemed overly theatrical. This movie also made a good case that Tony can do quite a bit outside of being in a suit... with a box of scraps... from Home Depot. I just read that Rebecca Hall's character was supposed to have been the primary villain, but someone from Marvel Entertainment (probably Ike Perlmutter) insisted the change. I think the story probably would have been better if they were able to keep the original version.
