The Media Knights

This has been an incredibly fun journey. We got to learn so much from the behind the scenes of these movies. Watching these and sharing them with all of you has been the highlight of these past couple of weeks. More disaster flicks incoming!! ❤️

It's my Favorite Action Franchise, I've Seen in a Long time, the Characters, Plots, the Fight Scenes along with the Creative & Brutality of the Kills are ALL, Top-Notch - there is NO ONE, Better than John Wick‼️ (in MY., Opinion...) 🌻

Helion

Can't wait for my shift to end, so I can watch this. In the meantime, if some day you want to watch something extremely similar and fun, check Extraction 1 and 2 with Chris Hemsworth. The production quality is up there alongside John Wick, but it does some things on its own. It WILL surprise you, that's a guarantee. However, I'm more excited for reactions to The Raid series. I hope you consider them for the near future.

As it happens I saw an interview earlier with some of the people involved in the making of these movies. According to them the physical toll on Keanu in making these movies and stunts was so heavy that when you see him limping or hurt ... he's usually not acting. Not sure if that is accurate or just bluster but ... I wouldn't be surprised.

Wulfric

The problem with this movie is if John is really dead he sacrificed his friends in Osaka and all of the people there for nothing. Caine and his daughter being free was not worth the cost of all those lives. More people would have been better off if John would have just surrendered instead of dragging his friends into his mess and getting them all hurt/killed. The movie should have been John solo killing the High Table and w/e else. The movie already had unrealistic superhuman levels of endurance and back breaking injuries brushed off. Should have just had John Wick be an unstoppable killing machine. And lastly having a blind assassin stretches the suspension of disbelief to the limits. No reason at all to have him be blind. Just made it too unbelievable that someone as skilled as John could not instantly take him out. Caine should have been easily defeated by all the other assassins, never mind John. There is a limit to how far you can take ridiculousness without crossing the limit despite how "cool" a blind assassin is. I also get that John being so unkillable is unrealistic as well but a blind assassin is just so much more over the line. I get this is just an action film and you should not to take it too seriously but I think they went too over the top with this one.

Wulfric .. That's your Opinion (and your Entitled to It...) there are Many, Many more who would Disagree with You, on this .... and I'm one of them. 🌻

Unfortunately, Koji would have had to pay a price in the end like Winston did when the high table made an example of him by killing his concierge. If Koji hadn't taken a stand, they would have gone after his daughter and killed her. That's why I think he stood his ground despite Cane being willing to let him go. Also, he probably forced Cane's hand so it wouldn't have made it look like he was helping either of them so his daughter wouldn't have been impacted. As we've seen in previous movies, the high table would probably have found out anyway.

I 100% understand your criticisms but these movies aren’t trying to be hyper realistic. Especially towards the later movies. Having a blind guy being able to do everything be does, really isn’t that big of a deal. It’s awesome and that’s all that matters. If you are watching and getting frustrated that it’s not realistic enough then you need to loosen up a bit. Don’t be so tight with expectation. However, as I said, you are absolutely entitled to your own opinion and they are definitely valid criticisms

Killa Harkan is played by the legendary Scott Adkins. He's mostly known for playing Yuri Boyka in the Undisputed series. He's an expert in a lot of martial arts. Up there with Michael Jay White. He wears a lot of prosthetics to make him fat in this movie, but if you look up his physique, your jaw drops. As for Donnie Yen, if you loved him here, you'll adore him in the Ip Man series (all 4 movies). Great showcase of his martial arts expertise.

🚨🚨🚨🚨 I FORGOT TO TELL YOU GUYS, BEFORE WATCHING CHAPTER 4 YOU SHOULD WATCH THE WARRIORS 1979 this chapter 4 is on steroids

Liam Harrold

fan theory in this series is winston is johns father since he's the only one calling him johnathan and when he asked to be taken home they both knew he was dying .... till the possible john wick 5 which may or may not come

Helion

Biological father is a stretch, but the idea of him being at least a father figure is plausible.

Captain Rex

I knew that you both would like this scene in the building with the camera from above and that you would find it so unique because I have never seen anything like this in an action film befor and i think this viedo game vibe is great. I hope that a few more directors will use camera settings like this now because I just find it so special. I also think it's very possible that John is still alive, but we might find out soon becaus there's supposed to be a Chapter .

Kyutoko

RIP Charon. RIP John. Two legends fall. As sad as that ending is, as I wipe my eyes free of tears, it is sort of the only way it could end. But man the post-credit, just ouch. That said, this movie had some of the best action scenes, lighting and sound design of the quadrilogy. It made my brain happy to watch this again.

Lucas

Have you guys ever seen the movie Collateral starring Tom Cruise? If not I would highly recommend it as a great companion piece to John Wick movies as a more drama focused version. Super great movie

PumpkinHat

Lance Reddick passed away shortly before this movie released. I think that is the reason for the abrupt death in the beginning. Although maybe they always intended to do it given that they had the footage, I just don't see it as all that likely since he was a very popular character.

PumpkinHat

I remember the first time I watched 4 in theaters I wasn't sure how it stacked up to the others either, but it's grown on me as I've watched it more. I think the reason I didn't love it as much initially is because after 3 I expected him to take the fight directly to the High Table, but instead it felt like an excuse to wrap up the first John Wick arc while keeping the world intact so they could make more movies expanding the lore. But honestly, after watching Ballerina I think it was the right decision because this is one of the most interesting and unique film universes certainly of the last decade.

Mudge Pendragon

For the Movie Cona sours. The nod to The Warriors was a big thing here. Donnie's nod to The Samourai is also a big thing in this movie. The Warriors shaped the movie -scape of the 70s and early 80s and the DJ (Marie-Pierra Kakoma) did a great job of it. And of course, the Dragon's Breath... a nod to Keanu's own Constantine. For the Knights... The Warriors if you haven't seen it yet a must watch.

Mister Lou

the dragon breath scene, looking down.. was just top notch and the highest point in the John Wick-verse, so far! but I have yet to see Ballerina too, so.. we'll see.

Daniel Karlsson

This was the one in the franchise I hadn't seen and it did not disappoint. Great action ofc, but even more importantly I have to say this actually landed as my second favorite for two specific reasons. Visually this is gorgeous. Up there with films like Hero, 300 and Blade Runner 2049. Every single frame looks incredible and several times during the film I almost paused it just to admire the spectacle (so to speak). The cinematography is almost unreal and quite revolutionary in terms of action. Secondly, as you mentioned, the dialogue. Every line felt thought out and practically not a single one was a throw away or something extra. I love that. In most movies we get people talking about extra things that doesn't propel us forward, but as far as I can tell, every line in this movie gives us something we need. I love the sparsity and I want more writers to consider this when writing. In terms of story, it was after all hard to see how it could end in any other way, really. Although we want the happy ending, I think it would have ended up feeling somehow hollow. John, for how much we root for him, is not a nice guy and him surviving would have been strange. I love how much these characters so quickly get established and how easily we can accept their goals and objectives. As for ranking these movies, I would put this as number 2, second only to the first one. The only reason it isn't nr 1 is because the first one had such an impact culturally and really showcased how solid an action movie done with practicals could be. Also the worldbuilding in the first movie establishes the world so seamlessly. PS. I still need you guys to check out Kingdom of Heaven and Blade Runner 2049. You will not be disappointed.

Please tell me you guys will be watching Thunderbolts? Its such a good movie and will be out on digital on July 1!!

Robert Robillard 🇨🇦

I'm Sure that they will., But in-Time .. Be Patient & If they Decide too, they will. Cheers 🍻

Corvinious Naturae

I agree with everything said about this film, I haven't seen it since it came out in theaters but hearing the same opinions I made when I saw it makes me super happy. Also when Ballerina comes out for you guys to see, the protagonist, the world building, the choreography, and much more are even more jaw dropping like the hype for chapters 1-4. Please continue the saga when it comes out, it will not disappoint! (Edit) Upon this reaction being released, we have a confirmation that chapter 5 is in development. No release date yet, no plot yet, but Keanu is confirmed to return.

Stephanie

I saw this movie at the theatre when it came out. The sound, the music and the visuals ... it was such a great experience. The club scene was excellent. And the fights ... I felt exhausted after every fight scene. 😅 Respect to Keanu for still doing this at this age. Also, when "I am Klaus." happened, my friend and I looked at each and said "Groot?" at the same time. 😄

Jacob Goetz

So happy to getting to relive this series with yall. Just putting my requests out there for sicario, wind river and hell or high water
