Is it wrong that I actually liked Ultron's character growth, but also saw it coming a MILE away the entire time? LOL And now the Sheldon moment, "JAMES SPADEEEEEEER!!" Friday's talk about Tony, made me cry. Damn this show is too good. They got me with Jarvis. They got me with Friday. They got me with Edith. ...If Agatha and Billy DON'T show up eventually... I'ma be big mad though. You can't make a trilogy with all of these characters and NOT bring them in.

I’m going to watch this again, with both of you - (I watched the YouTube reaction already and now it’s time for the full sit down together!) One thing that stood out to me as I was listening to the reaction (and I had to back up and listen again!) is how much Ultron sounds so broken, longing and fearful underneath that charismatic wit. He wants to be part of Vision’s club, his family of AI, and be accepted as one of them. He refers to himself cheekily as “dad”. He WANTS to be pointedly invited to join in conversation and planning, and you can see he values when he and Vision sit down together alone afterwards. He truly loves Vision, he does, in a self centred, immature way. But I think, like in middle school dramatics, he sees Vision’s “new bestie” (Tommy) as a threat. There’s jealousy and fear of loss there! He gets petty and petulant and makes snide offside remarks to Vision about Tommy, casually belittling him…. And I actually feel kind of bad, because it’s clear that Vision is ALL Ultron has. Of COURSE he wants to be seen with this bravado and a bit awed and feared by others, kind of like a playground tough guy. It’ll be interesting to see how much more obviously he’s going to get in between those two.
