The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Full Length Reaction

While watching along with you guys… its clear Katniss & Gale both have very different opinions regarding loss of life. But it really hit me maybe it’s because Gale didn’t have to kill until war had broken out & his district was under attack. While Katniss had to kill other kids in the games to fight another day. I think they are just widely different experiences. Which put them in opposing views on the whole Coin & Gale’s strategic second bomb plan before ever seeing it in action which we come to know has a devastating aftermath.

The Media Knights

I think you pretty much nailed it. Yeah Gale has not experienced the trauma of having to kill innocent people just because they are part of this big circus. He does however carry a lot of rage after what happens to District 12. Katniss sees past the soldiers and know the system is the real enemy. While Gale is just full of rage at this point and is looking for revenge. More of an aggressive take to get into the capitol etc. such amazing writing!

Nowhere Man

Why would any sane person take a drink while seated at the same table as Snow? Seriously. Now see, Coin, wasn’t rescuing and pardoning the tributes worth it? Let’s face it: Katniss has balls of steel. But no matter how hard she tries, there’s always a damn camera in her face. Those semi-circular apartments aren’t CGI or a massive set piece; they’re a real place. The rest of it’s fake, though. Snow correcting Coin is PRICELESS. Snow is such a stickler for correctness——lethal and immoral correctness, but still. Why do movies always resort to steam-burst jump scares in utility areas!? It’s such a cliché. Do real steam pipes even do that? And now ... the story gets a quantum level darker. Or maybe multiple quantum levels darker. If only you knew who Tigress really is, it would break your heart even more. Peeta is an odd duck. His brain was completely scrambled, but he can still remember the names of every single person who died. ENOUGH of this dang “love” triangle! What is this movie series actually about anyway? EVERY SINGLE TIME you think this movie (series) can’t get any darker ... it does. In that final costume, Katniss looks like a human female personification of the grim reaper. And with that ending, Jennifer Lawrence enters motion picture history.
