THE STRANGERS FULL LENGTH MOVIE REACTION - WATCH ALONG

James Jackson

This has been my fav horror movie since it came out. I love that the horror comes from the absolutely heart pounding tension and not jump scares. The scene with the bag head in the background is one of the most terrifying things in horror ever to me! Thanks guys!

I've never been as bothered by them not making good use of the shotgun as I am by the fact that when they had it, they abandoned the safety of the closet. I understand he was traumatized by accidentally shooting his friend, but there's no reason they couldn't have lasted until morning if they had just remained there. The shot of the bag head man in the kitchen behind Liv Tyler is probably the best jump scare ever, because it's not the traditional shocker usually used. It's quiet and effective, and I love it.

For the shotgun, I would disagree that it's a suspension of disbelief. I am pretty sure I heard the shutgun go off toward the direction of the stranger with the flashlight and that was when the sack mask stranger ran at him before he had time to pump the shotgun. For the strangers getting in and out. Notice how when Liv went to the door when the stranger knocked more and again asked if Tara was home? She turned the lock- this means the door wasn't locked to begin with. I'll wager a guess that one of the strangers went inside without her knowing and probably unlocked it for the rest at some point while Liv was freaking out. As for why the strangers are doing this, well remember what Billy Loomis said? It's scarier when there's no motive. This was a fun reaction though. I hadn't seen this movie before but I would say the one scene with their friend was a bit predictable. To address that though, I'm pretty sure the strangers were thinking that guy would get shot. The stranger with the axe was waiting for it to happen. In fact I'd say he was counting on it to happen. If not I think he would have just taken the axe to the guy.
