The first voice memo arrives from my own number with tomorrow's date. A woman tells me not to cancel the salon appointment, then laughs in the exact uneven rhythm I have heard in recordings of myself. I replay her warning until my throat warms and my next startled breath comes out in her soft voice. The changes continue slowly through the evening. My hair brushes my collar, then my shoulders, deepening to copper as the hours pass. At midnight, a photograph arrives showing the woman I am becoming leaving the salon in tomorrow's sunlight.
