The client knows me only as Helena, the consultant who rescued their launch through camera-off calls. I created her because my first proposal as Henry went unanswered. When they demand an in-person signature, I expect the navy dress, polished wig, and careful voice to survive one meeting at most. Instead, the client greets me with visible relief and asks Helena to explain the strategy to her board. Every answer is mine, but nobody talks over it. At the end, she slides the contract across the table and says the company wants Helena for another year.
