[TG Caption] Friday's Uniform Is Permanent (Patreon)

Every Friday, the restaurant lets staff trade roles. Owen chooses hostess because it means escaping the kitchen heat, not because the plum dress makes him feel unexpectedly composed. That explanation survives two shifts. By the fourth, regulars ask for Olivia, difficult reservations untangle in her hands, and the owner orders a uniform fitted to the feminine shape Owen creates with padding and a long blonde wig. On Monday morning, his chef whites are missing. Olivia's dress hangs pressed beside a promotion letter offering her the front-of-house manager position.
