Paul's daughter Hannah asks Aunt Celia to attend her bridal fitting, even though no such aunt appears anywhere in the family. Celia is the name Paul uses for the woman he becomes behind a locked bedroom door. He arrives in a fitted blue dress convinced Hannah needs a socially acceptable relative, not an honest father. In the fitting room, she places the veil in Celia's hands and asks for help. Paul remembers fastening Hannah's school ribbons with the same nervous fingers. She catches his expression in the mirror and admits she found Celia's photograph years ago.
