SF6: Alex's Gameplay Trailer Arrives Early! (Patreon)

Well, well- this was a surprise. It really hasn't been that long since the release of the teaser trailer for the third DLC character for Streetfighter 6 Season 3, but now we already have the full gameplay trailer for Alex. The New Yorker Grappler is looking really slick with his new Heel Pro-wrestler schtick. However, despite being called 'The Man with No Allies' and apparently taking on a more vicious character... Alex is still Alex. The tough-talking, brawling and streetwise streetfighter. As with actual pro-wrestling, the 'heel' or villain persona is just that- a persona. He's doing it because it sells well to the crowd, and he's fine with being the bad guy, even if he really isn't.

So along with this edgy new style, Alex is apparently coming with no less than TEN wrestling throws to use against his opponent. WOW, how can Zangief compete with that? Alex is basically THE wrestler in the game once he arrives. Not only that, but apparently no less than Kenny Omega himself did the mo-cap (motion capture) for the character, which just means his moves are going to look amazing.

Well, aside from that, we'll be getting a new KO pose from Alex to use as his Super does result in a nice faceup KO. I am still hoping the Sleeper Hold (probably his Critical Art) also results in a faceup, but likely it will be facedown- ah well. We can only hope.

Alex is set for a March 17 release, so that's still a ways off. I just want more updates for this game. I love SF6, but darn they really need to speed things up. For now, enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more Barefoot KO content soon.
