Tekken 8 Mod Showcase: Christie Monteiro (Tekken Tag 2) (Patreon)

So recently this mod for Tekken 8 was released publicly by TheRessen, who is, FYI, our modder for T8. This particular mod though was not commissioned by me. This means that it does not entirely work with our Tekken 8 Female Feet Overhaul mod.

So, first off, its a mod for Miary Zo, which is great since she can use a lot more mods exclusive to her. This brings to Tekken 8 the hairstyle and outfit of the Fan Favorite, Christie Monteiro (or is it Montiero?), specifically her Tekken Tag Tournament 2 version (which is her latest version). Now, Christie coming to Tekken 8 is, IMO, very unlikely given that Eddy has already been released. Christie is totally just a female version of Eddy, and shares all his moves. Unless they actually change her moveset and give her new animations, it would be redundant to add her.

So this mod I guess is currently the only way to get a version of Christie in the game- albeit in the form of Miary. You get the hairstyle (which is very similar to an existing hairstyle in the game- the Shinobi hair I think, and the outfit. Unfortunately the costume also has the Default Feet (Miary's) attached, and is not removable (it takes the spot of the Colored Nails version of our Feet mod/Lili Sandals).

So as you can see in the last few screenshots, I have actually equipped the Long Nails version of the Feet mod, which is the best-fitting one of the Foot mod variants. There are varying amounts of clipping for All versions, though at least from afar the Long Nails feet look the best- or the least bad. Even this version has clipping, and in the screenshots you can see parts of the default feet showing, under the toenails, at the sides and at the edge of the sole.

That said, this is just something that matters to someone like me, who has to zoom in on these parts for KO Gallery/Ending purposes. If you're just playing the game, these bits don't really matter.

For what it is, this mod is, as TheRessen mods go, pretty well done and is a fine work to use if you really like Christie. Personally, I'd have preferred this mod be for Azucena instead, but that's just me. Also, I'm not really a Christie fan, nor do I particularly like this outfit... in fact, I really, really dislike how long the pants are- its been that way since Tekken 4, which is why Christie is not among my favorite Tekken babes. Needless to say, I won't be doing KOs with this due to the clipping, but otherwise I recommend this mod for any fan of the Capoeira Waifu.
