My New Favorite Tekken 8 Stage (Mod) (Patreon)

Yesterday, in between playing some Resident Evil: Requiem and watching the latest episode of Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, I had the good fortune of checking one of the Tekken 8 Discords I frequent, and found a mod that I immediately took a shine to.

The mod is a Stage mod, which I rarely bother with. Well, that's not really true- I don't often bother with these kinds of mods because I rarely find ones I like. A lot of stage mods look really good, but are often heavy in size or might (in my thoughts) make my game lag. I don't like retro stage mods usually, since I think the quality may be inferior, unless the modder built the assets from scratch.

But I actually found a stage that I really like. It's calle the Last Night stage by modder Sanwal Akram, and I believe its based on the Infinite Azure mod from Tekken 7. But unlike IA, which was just an infinite, endless seascape, Last Night seems to be a lake ringed by mountains and a swamp that is apparently infested with velociraptors(!). Anway, I like the watery floor, and I really like how the characters' feet aren't obscured or hidden by the water, they are perfectly above the water line. But stage visuals aside, I love the lighting and the way the characters (the ladies mainly) look so perfectly clear and well-lit here. They all look so nice and clean, and popping in detail and color.

This mod also replaces the Yakushima stage, which while I kinda like because of the story theme and it being Jun's stage, I don't like how it looks kinda washed-out, and the plants and waters just block the views on the characters, while the misty forest and shrine don't look as good as they should IMO. So, yeah- I had no problem with replacing the stage.

Anyway, I've installed Last Night, and you can expect me to have some sexy KOs to be set in this stage from here on. You can grab the Last Night mod for free from Sanwal's Patreon (there's a link to it in the video description of the mod showcase I posted above).
