Tekken 8: Kunimitsu Trailer Drops! Thoughts and Impressions (Patreon)

It's Day 3 of EVO Japan 2026 and the finals Top 8 of Tekken 8 are coming in a while. I can't post the video here due to Youtube being silly, but I'll post my thoughts and screencaps of our returning kunoichi's trailer once it drops. Kunimitsu will surely be kickass, I do hope her release date isn't far off, though I don't really relish the thought of mods breaking again. Anyway, what will be, will be. Let's hope for the best, which will be sexy barefoot ninja girl finally arriving and making us all happy. Later then!

UPDATE: Well, the trailer came out and its pretty cool. So Kuni has a version of her first fox mask outfit, then an alternate outfit which I can only describe as a 'cyber-schoolgirl' outfit, with school uniform with skirt coupled with armored gloves, leggings and even, um, bunny ears. Both outfits I feel are pretty over-designed (hell for cosplayers I'd wager) and could do with some minimalizing (read: just put her in a bikini lol). They'll definitely look nicer with bare legs and feet.

Anyway, she looks and moves similarly to before, but not has some moves like an install that gives her a flaming scarf (access to more moves), and her RA has her using actually large swords rather than her wakizashis- yeah, she's leveled up.

For Tekken 8 it seems her story involves her infiltrating the Mishima Polytechnic High School, where she becomes the Student Council Vice President and then enters a rivalry/alliance of sorts with Reina. She acquires the swords she uses in her Rage Art, and then enters the tournament later to once again go after Yoshimitsu to capture his blade on behalf of her still-sick mom.

Kunimitsu releases on May 28. A bonus bit, we'll get to see a glimpse of the final Season 3 character (who comes after Bob and Roger Jr.) at Combo Breaker on May 24.

Interesting stuff! Well, still a bit of a wait, but the kunoichi is coming- and hopefully another babe to make Season 3 a win. Stay tuned, I'll keep updated on this as things happen.
