Announcements and Whatnot! (Patreon)

Hey yall! Hope you're having an awesome new year so far, full of good tidings and progress on your resolutions (and / or progress on changes you tried to make before the new year, if resolutions aren't your thing)!

I wanted to make an update post because hoo boy do I got some stuff coming down the pipeline! Hopefully it's stuff that won't impact yall too much, but, well... there is a very real possibility of that! The main thing is that I'm embarking on my greatest creative venture yet...

I'm having a baby!

No, seriously. I'm having a kid. And soon, too.

So, uh, yeah! As much as I'm absolutely pumped about this whole thing, you may ask (and very reasonably so) what this means for writing and the future of all this stuff here! And the answer is... that's a really friggin good question!

For the past few months, I have been (and will continue to be) working hard at writing and getting myself a pretty sizable backlog---for both Alone and Legion. The hope is that, by doing that, I'll be able to weather the most chaotic parts of the transition while still posting at the rate you guys have come to expect.

However, I'm quite acutely aware that this is a... major change, to say the least! I have no idea how long it's gonna take to adjust and really find a new rhythm to writing. That's why I want to make sure we know what happens if I fall behind for a bit.

If, at any point, I run out of backlog and don't think I'll be able to recover that week, I will pause the Patreon and posting so yall don't get charged. Alone (and probably Legion) will go on a small hiatus until I can get back on track, then we'll be back just like normal!

The hope is that it doesn't reach that point, hence all the work I'm trying to do now. But this is uncharted territory we're walking into! Hence why I want you all to have a few guarantees. Such as the fact that I'm gonna keep on writing, both these stories and future ones!

So yeah! I'm excited for all the stuff that life's got in store, and hope you all are too! Just wanted to keep you guys in the loop about plans and possible changes. As always, thank you all so much for your support---I never honestly expected to enjoy writing nearly as much as I do, and you guys are a huge part of that. It legitimately makes me excited to keep on going and bring even more stories to life :) So here's to everything that the future holds!

TL;DR: Posting should continue like normal, but there may be a brief hiatus sometime in the next few months due to baby. We'll find out together!
