Mac users — if the game won't launch
If you're on a Mac (especially Apple Silicon — M1/M2/M3/M4/M5) and the game fails to start or shows no window at all, it's almost always macOS blocking the app because it isn't signed by Apple. Here's how to fix it:
1. Allow the app in Security settings
Try to open the game once (it may silently fail, or say it "can't be opened" / is "damaged" — that's expected).
Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Scroll down to the Security section. You should see a message about the game being blocked, with an "Open Anyway" button. Click it, then confirm.
2. Or open it manually
In Finder, right-click (or Control-click) the game's .app file → Open.
A warning will pop up — click Open again. macOS will remember your choice from then on.
3. If it still says the app is "damaged"
Open the Terminal app and run this command (replace the name if your file is named differently):
xattr -cr "Reclaiming the Lost.app"
Then launch the game again.
4. Apple Silicon (M-series) note
If none of the above works, installing Rosetta 2 can help. Open Terminal and run:
softwareupdate --install-rosetta --agree-to-license
Then try launching again.
If you're still stuck after Try this.Open the Terminal app (Cmd+Space, type "Terminal", Enter).Type this, with a space after it, but don't press Enter yet:xattr -crNow drag the game's folder (the whole folder, not just the app) from Finder into the Terminal window — it'll fill in the path automatically.Press Enter, then launch the game again.
