Ateez 🙌❤️‍🔥

Kimberly Roper

His voice is what caught my attention and brought me into Ateez and into kpop. He's my ult. I'm not sure anyone will be able to dethrone him from the top for me. A couple of things to add, he was suffering from allergies for this performance. Ateez had just done an outdoor festival and it turns out he was allergic to some of the flowers. You can hear it a bit at the very end of the song where he runs out of air and gets a bit gravelly. It amazes me that even with all of that he still sounds amazing. If you remember in the guide they make a quick mention that he trained at TOP Entertainment before moving to KQ. That time at TOP almost ended his attempts at becoming an idol. He said that he became a trainee at too young of an age. He was 11 or 12 international age. When his voice started to change it went a bit nasally and the trainers at TOP told him that they hated listening to him sing and that if he was going to sing like that he should just quit. He worked extremely hard with his vocal coach (and still does to this day) but eventually, he decided to leave TOP. He was going to take a few months off to figure out if he still wanted to follow his dream or go on to a new path. One week into that break KQ called and offered him an audition. A friend of his convinced him to take it and even picked out what clothes he should wear and what song he should sing. I wish I could send that friend a fruit basket and some flowers.

Fantastic request, EmD. His voice is so rich and full and gorgeous, and he is becoming expert at using it. He's just an amazing vocalist. And it's just bonkers to me that he's still so incredibly young and has years ahead to perfect his craft.

Em D

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. He really is one of the best and can apply his vocals to any genre!

Me, sobbing on my knees: yeah he's ok i guess

Amazing Request, Em D! I love listening to Jongho sing. And it never fails to make me tear up and get goosebumps, like it did the first time I seen it.

I like your, "I agree with all the people's expressions!" Jongho is incredible! You need to listen to his Original Sound Track song called "Gravity" that was made for the K-drama series, Reborn Rich. That is my favorite song by Jongho. It makes me want to watch the series!!!!
