Jonghyun. He's my Ult of Ults. Vocal King. Everyone in SHINee has fantastic vocals, but Jonghyun... that's a whole other thing. The note in Stranger is absolutely iconic in kpop. And, yes, Jonghyun has solo content.

THIS is how you open a concert. And this is just the beginning of a 3 hours and 22 minutes concert that maintains this level till the last moment. There's actually another song immediately after Stranger before they even stop to talk to the audience. I was actually considering this for my 3rd request for this month but someone beat me to it.. The one with the short blond hair is Jonghyun, he was SHINee's main vocal (he, unfortunately, passed away in 2017) and he is considered to be one of the best vocalists ever in Kpop. While Jonghyun's note in Stranger is indeed insane, Onew (SHINee's other main vocalist) is actually the one to hold the record for the longest sustained note in kpop history. he held a note in a live performance for 43 seconds just because he felt like it.... no one has come even close to beating that record. While Taemin was the first in the group to start a solo career and he has by far the biggest discography all of the members of SHINee are also soloists, in fact, SHINee is the only kpop group where every member has at least one solo album that reached #1 on iTunes. what's great about SHINee solos is that every member has his own style in their solo work that's both very different from the group sound and from the sound of the other members, each one is very distinct. they are so different from one another yet they come together seamlessly to create magic.

THAT MAN is JONGHYUN! Beloved and missed by all, I was extremely sad to hear about his passing. I am so glad that you checked out Shinee Live stages, I had to subscribe to your patreon after checking out your previous shinee reaction (Replay) on youtube.
