This song actually got some hate when it came out. I have always thought it was an absolute banger since I first heard it. Savage Black Mamba Girls Lucid Dream I’ll Make You Cry Illusion Next Level Forever Dreams Come True Iconic Life’s Too Short Yeppi Yeppi aenergy

It's grown on me a lot over the past year, but I actually didn't like Girls very much when it came out, and it's still one of my least favorite title tracks from them. I think it's just a bit overproduced, which really affects my appreciation for it. As you mention, Aespa's music is super experimental, and I just don't think the kitchen sink approach quite works for me here. Winter's voice especially has this sort of static-y quality to it in the production that makes it sound more shrill than it actually is. I don't know how better to describe it than that. I have the same complaints about GoT The Beat's songs (which is a whole different can of worms that you should probably check out some time), but for some reason I feel like it worked better there than here. 1. Illusion 2. Black Mamba 3. Savage 4. Iconic 5. I'll Make You Cry 6. Next Level 7. Girls 8. Yeppi Yeppi 9. Dreams Come True 10. Lucid Dream 11. Life's Too Short 12. Aenergy 13. Forever
