Welcome to the second devlog of the month! I've made some progress on the script, and I'm trying to get back into making special renders again. There's a lot of stuff going on for me right now, so I'll try to keep this short.

Progress

I've finished structuring the entire chapter 4, and am now focusing on the dialogues and scene writing. I've written about 5 scenes so far, but there's still a lot remaining to be done. However, I can feel how much easier the process have become. The visuals of the scenes just flows through my mind naturally, and the dialogues are coming to me more and more easily.

Still, I really can't say I won't change anything about the structure of chapter 4 down the line. If you have paid attention to my devlogs on the three previous chapters, you know I tend to change my mind quite easily and will end up rewriting some parts of the script. But that's just what I do: completing before polishing.

A Very Important Consideration

What I'm about to discuss now is very serious. It is time for me to start studying sex scenes. Giving you all a boner is one thing, but if I actually want to start revving your engine, if you know what I mean, is a completely different matter.

The reason why I'm bringing this up is because I still remember that I'm making an adult visual novel; and unlike a regular novel, I have the best tool to make a written sex scene even more impactful, which is the visual.

I need to begin making plans on how to deliver sex scenes that are delightful to have, something that players will look forward to see. I must consider the purpose of the sex scene, what kind of vibe the scene wants to take, what sort of information will be revealed about a character during and after the scene, how explicit do I want the scene to be, what should be said during the scene... There's just so much that needs to be covered, and I am prepare to explore them one by one.
