Millions of kids around the world got their first feeling of immense accomplishment and catharsis when they beat a pokemon game, especially since they’re dumb kids and will this struggle. You don’t really get that anymore as a nuzlocker… since it’s all so mindlessly easy. But here, being pushed to your limit by this romhack, after loosing over, and over, and over again, it became a personal victory. I love when you started popping off against Steven because it was that kid re-emerging, that fire sparking for the first time in what must feel like a millennia. There’s no better climax to a game, to a story, where you throw everything out the window and just feel.

This video made me try out EK for myself and honestly I've impressed myself at what I've cooked for fights like flannery and Maxie 2. I've peaked at space station double battle and I am confident I will beat it. Also Jaiden being a part of this video is really cute. She's genuinely the nicest person anyone will ever meet.

It's honestly so funny how many times in this video I'm like "ooh this section is good" followed immediately by Jan saying "I should have cut this". In all seriousness this was a super cool BTS look. For me, these videos were so novel at the time that I rarely caught any instances of poor pacing/inconsistencies - I didn't really have a baseline for what they *could* have looked like. So it's super interesting hearing your breakdown for areas that could have been improved - definitely opens my eye a bit when it comes to the content creator process. That aside, your EK videos were the ones that hooked me into your channel and I'll always feel emotional near the end of this one. It truly was a magical time. Looking forward to what comes next!

I think the intro was perfect: This vid re-introduced me to pokemon/nuzlocke content after not watching any of that kind in years, cause tbf it sucked, I had no idea who you were or that content even exists, I was instantly hooked by how serious that started. I think it really appealed to All the frogs who where thirsty for that kind of content without even knowing that that could be a thing after the 900th shiny egg community randomizer Locke. For its time it holds up
