Keith was always such an interesting character to me, even if you don't "agree" with him. Getting depth on a character you never expected much from and that most likely forgot about by now is awesome, and a strong point of this show imo. Almost everyone has something going on and very few characters only appear once. Even someone like Daz had a lot of screentime considering his role if you remember all the flashbacks. Love hearing the conversation between Keith and Carla as well. Stories that ask big questions but don't answer them for you are fantastic, and they get your philosophical brain going in the best way.

Love this man! Everyone has their own story, and everyone is the main character of their story! Man…what a show

Im so glad Shadis told Eren about what Carla told him in the past, about being special. Its so beautiful and i think Eren really needed to hear that after putting so much pressure on himself.

My favorite part about this episode is that it goes back and ties up little loose ends, things that you probably already stopped thinking about because you're used to other shows not answering, but it actually gives you answers and context for like how Eren got back to the shelter after "meeting" his dad and getting the key, and also why Eren had "defective" gear making his maneuver gear test harder than everyone else's.

I think the reason keith broke the gear was partly to save eren and partly to hurt him, at least that's what he'd have told himself, but I think the underlying reason is because he *Really* did not want Eren to be special just like his dad was, he didn't want that feeling of inferiority again and he really did not want Grisha to be right about Eren being special just because he was his son, that would feel like losing to Grisha all over again. So he wanted to make it so that Eren wouldn't even get the chance to prove himself

Yea I thought shadis was trying to save eren by preventing him from dying on the battlefield
