Pikushi (ピクシー)

It's way too hard to pick a fave in this show... They all have mad character development throughout. I think the only one who stops developing on her own is Mikasa, until right at the end (although she did have some good changes in s1). I just love the dynamic between certain characters. All good things come in 3's, as they say haha. I do feel like the manga shows character changes and expressions a lot better than the anime did at times, too. For the sake of giving some kind of answer, my top 5: Levi Jean Hange Armin Eren I think Jean has some of the best growth in the show. From s1 he changes from that pompous, selfish asshole, to someone who inspires and leads. He also has a good head on his shoulders and can even Armin turns to him for help in s3. Levi is a solid character throughout. I know a lot of people treat him as a generic stoic character, who is a badass fighter, but he is so much more than his surface level presence. People seem to forget the things he went through in the underground. He was born into filth and poverty, hardly ate, spent most of his growing life inside a single room with his prostitute mother, who was forced into sexual labour young, after having to escape persecution from the government, for being an Ackerman. She had to sell herself to feed them both and keep a roof over their heads. I have no doubt, he saw a lot of what she went through with clients and he was probably physically assaulted by them too. In the end, she slowly wasted away in front of him, died, and he was left to sit in his filth and starve to death, beside her decomposing corpse. He was then found by Kenny and left by him too, all the while thinking he was not only a burden to his mother and probably the reason for her death, but also was a burden to the person he thought may have been his father. After everything, he still maintained his humanity. He is sympathetic, and a carer. He is honest and loyal. He is a solid leader, someone others can look up to, and cares deeply for the people he fights beside. He also has a lot of sympathy for the little people. There was this beautiful panel in the beginning of the Uprising Arc of the manga, where Levi is walking through Trost and sees a woman holding a baby. They're both filthy and hungry, and Isayama says he was reminded of "Me and my mum" when he looks at them. After they take over the Government and are atop the wall to leave for the Shinganshina recovery mission, he sees the mother and child again, both smiling, and he smiles in response. It was so touching, because I think he felt like he gave them something his mother did her best to give to him. Some kind of peace and happiness. Sorry... bit of an essay, but I think there is a lot about his character that makes me think he is the most humane of them all, and there's a lot to be learned from a person like that - even a made up one!

Chillll like a villll

You guys should listen to the last aot album! There's only 5 track on it so it's super short, but they are so fire, just as good as the sawano suite you guys listened to
