Soul Verna

Soul Verna

There is a english cover by a vtuber names Nerissa Ravencroft that is also really good!

mimi

As Soul Verna said, Ado’s version is a cover! I believe the original was written and produced by Kikuo and featured the vocaloid singer Hatsune Miku.

Can you guys react to mha openings?

MADHOUSE

Yeah, so the whole "Utattemita" album contains songs that were requested by Ado's fans for her to cover (top 10 picks, I believe). Fun fact: the album cover/image you see is an illustration of Ado's closet from her early days of singing, when she used to mainly sing cover songs. The equipment you see is literally what she used back then. As you can probably guess, she chose to sing in there for noise dampening. Here's a link to Ado tweeting an image of her closet if you're curious lol http://tinyurl.com/bdzcx5ee

this is a cover of a vocaloid song, but let me tell you - i've seen SO many other covers before and she's the only one who decided to do... that. she had no reason to go THAT hard, and yet she still did. that's probably the reason why i love ado so much, because she doesn't focus on finding the "best" voice and singing all of her songs in it, and instead experiments a lot, and in a way almost voice acts. so if you're listening to a cover, often times you can't be even a 100% sure of what you're gonna get, because she always puts her own spin on it

Having heard other covers of this, I was flabbergasted hearing Ado's version. The song is from the perspective of a completely psychotic and obsessed person, so Ado's wildly changing vocals were such an amazing fit. Also, the choice of instruments reminded me of the Amusement Park OST from Nier Automata. They sound fun and whimsical, but feel dark.

Y’all gotta check out Rasen, Love & Destroy, Ibara, I’m a Controversy, TOKYO CANNIBALISM, AntiSystem’s, Shikabanese, Chocolat Cadabara, Villain, Rebellion, and Boca Della Verita. All are amazing songs sung by Ado

Eli Gamarra

Even having listened to every song she’s performed, covered, or featured in, I still get surprised by her singing ability every damn time.

Eli Gamarra

Ado isn’t asking people to love her when she sings this song, she’s commanding them to love her because there’s no choice

jin's scream in dionysus

Totally get the Melanie Martinez kinda comparison it's very carnival kinda vibes from the instrumental

should try miy yuu version of this bro or basically any of his high viewed songs. Just search "Love me Love me Love me - Utattemita/Miyashita Yuu" He like Ado but on crack with the vocal inflections and also makes his own beats and art sometimes too. Few suggestions -- 【キルマー (Kilmaa)】 Utattemita/Miyashita Yuu -- Wozwald - Utattemita/Miyashita Yuu -- Call Boy - Utattemita/Miyashita Yuu -- Unknown Mother Goose Utattemita - Yuu -- Penguin’s Detour / Kan/Rom/Eng Lyrics

Hello. I became a paid member because I am very interested in the reaction to this video (translated into Japanese on YouTube). The production of this song was mentioned, and it has a background in "Japanese Vocaloid culture," including Hatsune Miku. The original version of "Aishite Aishite Aishite" was created by a Vocaloid producer (ボカロP) named Kikuo. The Ado version is a cover of that song. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NTrm_idbhUk In Japan, after the advent of VOCALOID and the release of Hatsune Miku, many people were able to create songs with vocals. Moreover, since there was no bias towards having human vocalists sing, the songwriters (Vocaloid producers) created songs as they pleased. Additionally, with the rise of YouTube and Nico Nico Douga at that time, they posted their songs on these sites, leading to the birth of countless songs online. As a result, many masterpieces that ignored the traditional theories of music production were created. "Aishite Aishite Aishite" is, of course, one of those masterpieces. Besides Kikuo, there are other Vocaloid producers such as PinocchioP (ピノキオピー) with "Godish" Hinata Denko(日向電工) with "Buriki no Dance," Syudou with "Usseewa," Giga with "Odo" and "Sho," and Ayase (YOASOBI) with "Idol." PinocchioP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHBFKhLUVig Hinata Denko: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EuR6FuOXXw Giga: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEkGC2HV7rc Syudou: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCyKJD6uQyg Ayase: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4AxMk3SGUY Furthermore, people who listened to these songs created music videos or covered them, expanding the circle of creativity. Ado is one of those who gained recognition by singing covers. Therefore, I am confident that exploring the background of this culture will make it much easier to understand Ado's vocals and the production of her songs. By the way, here is the Patreon account of "Kikuo," the creator of the original version of this song. @kikuo_sound
