FX's ‘Seven Sisters’ Pilot Has Officially Cast All Seven Sisters (Patreon)

(Quick recap for those unfamiliar: when a network greenlights a pilot, that means just one episode gets filmed. Based on how it turns out, the producers will decide whether to move forward with a full series or not.)

Here are the seven sisters:

Elizabeth Olsen – playing the lead, a young mother who begins hearing a strange voice no one else can hear

Cristin Milioti

Odessa Young

Zoë Winters

Carolyn Kettig

Meredith Hagner

Bridget Brown

Not much is known about the plot yet. The story revolves around a tight-knit family whose lives begin to unravel when one sister starts hearing a mysterious voice. This forces them to confront old secrets and hidden trauma. The show seems to blend psychological drama with some possible supernatural elements—but it’s still unclear whether the voice is rooted in trauma or something more otherworldly.

As for content—especially of the adult kind—there’s no info right now. Since this is an original series and not based on existing material, it’s impossible to say if there will be nudity or sexual scenes. That said, psychological dramas like this often include brief intimate moments when tied to the plot.

Now, some thoughts on the cast and what to expect:

Elizabeth Olsen has been leaning into serious, challenging roles lately (The Assessment being the perfect example), and it’s pretty clear she’s not looking to do nudity at this point in her career.

Cristin Milioti, fresh off The Penguin and the Black Mirror “USS Callister” sequel, also seems focused on layered, character-driven work—so it’s unlikely she’ll go that route either.

Odessa Young, on the other hand, has done nudity in the past and might be open to it again, depending on the role.

There’s some hope for Zoë Winters, Carolyn Kettig, and Bridget Brown—these actresses aren’t widely known yet, and sometimes that means they’re more open to nudity if the script calls for it.

Meredith Hagner, who had a brief nude scene in Bad Monkey, might be comfortable doing something similar again.

Right now, though, this is all speculation. We won’t see the pilot publicly, so unless FX makes an official statement or something leaks from the inside, we’ll have to wait and see what direction they take once it’s reviewed.
