Shazam Star Grace Caroline Currey Joins a Bizarre Cult in The Leader — Will This Be Her Nude Debut? (Patreon)

The Leader, starring Grace Caroline Currey, is an upcoming true-crime biopic written and directed by Michael Gallagher. It’s based on the 1997 mass suicide of the Heaven’s Gate cult.

The film follows the rise and fall of the cult led by Bonnie Nettles (Vera Farmiga) and Marshall Applewhite (Tim Blake Nelson), who convinced 39 followers to commit suicide believing they would ascend to a spaceship trailing the Hale-Bopp comet.

Grace Caroline Currey plays an Oregon-based boutique owner who abandons her family and fiancé in the late 1970s to join the cult.

Many fans have speculated about whether Grace will appear nude in this film. The answer is no—she doesn’t.

First, Michael Gallagher has no history of including nudity or sex scenes in his work. His past films and TV shows are free of sexual content.

Second, the subject matter itself makes it highly unlikely. While some cults are known for sexual freedom or orgies, Heaven’s Gate was strictly anti-sex. The group promoted celibacy, modesty, and even practiced voluntary castration. Members lived communally with no romantic or sexual relationships allowed—even between couples. Everyone wore the same loose-fitting clothes to suppress individuality and physical attraction.

So, the question of Grace going nude doesn’t even apply here. But you should also know that the main production company in this is Balcony 9 Productions, and they made "The Immaculate Room" (2022), which featured' Ashley Greene's really good nude scene.

But just based on the available information in public, it seems highly unlikely as of now. If any further updates come up, I will update you guys.
