SXSW 2026 Watchlist: Movies/TV/Shorts Premiering with Sex and Nudity (Patreon)

SXSW always brings some of the hottest, nudity-filled projects, and this year will be no different. There are many movies, TV shows, and short films premiering that will most likely feature some kind of adult content.

So, I have created a list that only includes projects which might have sex or nude scenes.

This list is created by me after considering several factors:

Movies:

(1) I Love Boosters

Plot: Follows a group of shoplifters who take aim at a cutthroat fashion maven.

Starring: Keke Palmer, Naomi Ackie, Taylour Paige, Poppy Liu, Eiza González, LaKeith Stanfield, Will Poulter, Demi Moore

The movie is an adventure comedy and hasn’t been rated yet, but an intimacy coordinator is mentioned. Since there is a strong fashion element, we might see some nudity in dressing-room scenes, which is common in this type of film.

(2) Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice

Plot: A hilarious, stylized, R-rated action-comedy about two gangsters and the woman they love trying to survive the most dangerous night of their lives. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s one wild ingredient added to the mix: a time machine.

Cast: Eiza González, Emily Hampshire

It is rated only for sexual material, so the most we’re likely to get is some kissing and teasing.

(3) Over Your Dead Body

Plot: A dysfunctional couple head to a remote cabin to supposedly reconnect, but each has secret plans to kill the other.

Cast: Samara Weaving, Jason Segel, Timothy Olyphant, Juliette Lewis, Paul Guilfoyle, Keith Jardine

It is rated R for sexual content, so most likely we’ll see Samara Weaving again in intimate scenes, probably with clothes still on.

(4) They Will Kill You

Plot: A woman takes a job as a housekeeper in a NYC high-rise, unaware of the building’s history of disappearances. She soon realizes the community is shrouded in mystery.

Cast: Zazie Beetz, Myha’La, Paterson Joseph, Tom Felton, Heather Graham, Patricia Arquette

The movie is rated R for brief sexual content and nudity. Most likely, Heather Graham will appear nude in some kind of ritual scene.

(5) The Snake

Plot: After getting dumped, a rebellious woman in her forties copes by having an affair with her best friend’s spouse.

Cast: Susan Kent, Robin Duke, Jonathan Torrens, Emma Hunter, Daniel Petronijevic, Jimbo, Kim Roberts, Kenny Robinson, Jacqueline Robbins, Joyce Robbins

While the movie is not yet rated, an intimacy coordinator is listed and the plot is interesting. There could be something worth watching here.

(6) Wishful Thinking

Plot: When a volatile couple discovers their emotional state has supernatural consequences on the world around them, they must decide whether to fight for their relationship or accept that their powerful connection may be doing more harm than good.

Cast: Lewis Pullman, Maya Hawke, Randall Park, Jake Shane, Kate Berlant, Amita Rao, Eric Rahill

This looks promising. While nothing explicitly confirms nudity or sex, an intimacy coordinator is mentioned and the plot suggests romance, so we might see something.

(7) Forbidden Fruits

Plot: Free Eden employee Apple leads a secret witch cult with coworkers Cherry and Fig. New hire Pumpkin questions their sisterhood, forcing them to confront inner darkness or meet violent ends.

Cast: Lola Tung, Victoria Pedretti, Lili Reinhart, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Chamberlain, Gabrielle Union

The movie is rated R for sexual content and nudity and is the most anticipated SXSW film for me, especially because it stars Lili Reinhart and Lola Tung.

(8) The Sun Never Sets

Plot: Wendy’s life is thrown into chaos when her boyfriend Jack, who is older and divorced with children, insists they take space to evaluate their relationship. During their break, Wendy runs into her ex, Chuck, forcing them into a volatile love triangle.

Cast: Dakota Fanning, Jake Johnson, Cory Michael Smith, Debby Ryan, Anna Konkle, Lamorne Morris, Karley Sciortino

The film is neither rated nor lists an intimacy coordinator, but since it revolves around a love triangle, there will likely be sexual content—and possibly nudity if we’re lucky.

TV Show Premiere:

(1) Margo’s Got Money Troubles

Plot: A young mother struggles to make ends meet. When her estranged father offers help, she starts an OnlyFans account using advice from his pro-wrestling days. Though successful, she begins to question whether internet fame comes at too high a cost.

Cast: Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nick Offerman, Thaddea Graham, Nicole Kidman, Greg Kinnear, Marcia Gay Harden, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, Lindsey Normington

Everyone is curious to see what this Apple TV series delivers. Promotion began two years ago, and rumors range from Elle Fanning appearing nude to the show being very tame. We’ll find out when it premieres.

I’m hyped for this.

Short Films:

(1) Achiever

Plot: When Alexa finds she can no longer orgasm due to her new Lexapro prescription, she embarks on a desperate journey to climax by any means possible, only to find herself “getting close” through an unexpected connection.

Cast: Not announced

The image looks interesting, so I’m guessing there will be sex and nudity.

(2) Gamberra

Plot: In a far-right religious dorm, Marta faces misinformation about sex while seeking emergency contraception, as her peers plan intense hazing rituals.

Cast: Alexia Álvarez, Clàudia Malagelada

Based on the plot, there might be a sex scene.

(3) Gender Studies

Plot: When a trans college student learns that the girl she idolizes is sleeping with their teaching assistant, she takes drastic steps to emulate her.

Cast: Jake Junkins, Fannie Massarsky, Ellen Toomey

An intimacy coordinator is mentioned, and the plot clearly hints at sexual content, so I’m hoping for some good scenes.

(4) Souvenir

Plot: While stuck on a family vacation, a young closeted teen must confront the unsettling hold her girlfriend has over her after she secretly takes photos of her during sex.

Cast: Tanzyn Crawford, Emily Grant

Sex is part of the plot, so expect some intimate lesbian scenes.

(5) Man Eating Pussy

Plot: A terminally ill man finds solace with an enigmatic prostitute whose inhuman body provides both carnal satisfaction and final deliverance.

Cast: Grace Glowicki, Julian Richings, Nicolette Pearse

Apparently, this is a horror short film, so nudity is likely.

(6) A Stable Marriage

Plot: A woman experiences her sexual fantasy becoming reality, leading to unexpected consequences.

Cast: Kristin Slaysman, Oliver Harlan, Amber Sealey

What exactly is her fantasy? We’ll find out when the short premieres, but it could involve a threesome.

Final Thoughts:

These are the movies, TV shows, and short films you should keep an eye on if you’re looking for content that may include sex or nudity. Since many of these projects haven’t premiered yet, my predictions are based on plot descriptions, intimacy coordinators, and available details. Other projects may also include nudity—we just don’t know yet.

SXSW will be held from March 12–18.
