you should watch everything. there is a chronological order 1. Violet Evergarden (Episodes 1–4) 2. “I Love You” Will Surely Come (OVA / Special) 3. (Episodes 5–13) 4. Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll (Side-Story Movie) – Takes place after the events of the main series. 5. Violet Evergarden: The Movie (Final Feature Film) – Serves as the definitive narrative conclusion to the entire franchise. Recollections is just a recap of the first 10 episodes

4:01 the animation is very pretty indeed~ visually speaking its def. worth watching (granted im not too much of a fan of the story/characters - was very forgettable to me) 4:53 "On-eh-neh (long middle-eh sound, almost like if saying a drawin out "chain" aka "chaaaain", but more towards the "eh" sound 7:46 i wouldn't call it lying, he is dodging the question its like for example: "is Y coming today?" "don't worry im here!" 11:14 "Leiden" ins german and lit. translates to "Suffering" 11:19 "Leidenschaftlich" lit. translates to impassionatedly/ardently (i didn't wanna say passionate because that may come with an Ero-conotation XD) So yes, "suffering" is used to spell "Passion" (philosophical hype XD) 13:49 and this just disproved ur conclusion, she was NOT "made", this is the result apparently of the resent injuries (since she is not used to them yet) 29:23 rewatching this makes me think, its a good thing VE didnt come out this year, or else there would be another battle of "Pedo" allegations xd 34:57 but *I* approve of that hairstyle! men with long hair are the best! x3 *ahem* 42:00 i like his pants btw QAQ 1:02:09 I love singing the ending! x3 she also sings in Nobunaga the Fool, always great x3 1:04:41 its not that the inside moves, it's how light and shadow, works in this kind of gem shape 1:04:06 KyoAni def. used all their S-tier ppl for this show x: it was also right before the fire, so some of them are dead 1:09:20 if you like this type of more "chill vibe" and "somewhat episodic" i still highly recommend Natsume Yuujinchou (to this day my "if you could watch anime on ur deathbed" - pick, every single EP is pure satisfaction) 1:17:36 seems to me she just makes everything into a "report" of pure facts 1:43:14 always the magical wind XD 1:53:17 hot take: maybe with better parenting, their daughter would actually have no problem coming to them and talking to them eg when she falls in love, when she gets rejected etc x: then they would know 1:55:15 friendzones x: gg 1:58:16 Angel proud dad arc XD 2:02:26 yep these flowers are called Violets :3 2:03:10 u are welcome? XD

One of the best things about this series, aside from the ending theme; which by the way is downright gorgeous. You have to listen to the whole thing when you’re done with the anime. I mean the entire full song on YouTube with lyrics. Aside from that, the animation and story is top notch. This is the same studio that does Kobayashi. So you know they can flip flop between amazing switches like slow pace to action packed. Can’t wait till you get to episode 10
