Very nice, the black and white aesthetic suited this very well. Contains an odd kind of milestone, I think this is the first animation I've seen of yours where a woman loses a fight

Also, I was impressed by how there's very little dialogue, but a clear sense of a story at play is communicated

I've been wanting to do a little bit of ryona for awhile now, but I wanted it to be natural and in the right context. It's also the first time I've animated more than 2 people on screen at the same time as well.

I was really trying to nail that aspect of the genre. Also, it's nearly impossible to find dialogue for an origin story!

Oh yeah, I suppose that's true as well. Though I prefer the woman winning when it's a mixed fight, ryona can be good too. And come to think of it, we'll get a nice female-only fight at some point during this, since one of the enemy elites was a woman.

Conflict

I prefer women to be the victor as well, but I wanted to add more tension to the fights, to make the "pay off" better. And the female vs female fight will an excuse for some choreography that a man couldn't necessarily pull off!

Yeah, Shiki winning a rematch feels like it could be a satisfying change of pace

This is definitely a piece of work that was more than just a treat to watch. Not only is it captivating for the choreography in the fights but it has that allure of plot. This was definitely worth the wait and I cannot wait to see what will happen in the future Acts. The sound design waa crisp and good too. Great job boss.

Wow this was amazing, and it's only part 1 ^^ Lots of great moments. I think the black and white camera view help make this story better. Feels like those samurai films by Akira Kurosawa. I like how she used stealth mixed with headscissors. The ending was very unexpected, but very good. Her fight with the Ninja master kept me on my toes. It definitely shows us that these boss characters cannot be easily defeated. Really looking forward to parts 2 and 3^^ Awesome job^^
