I know it's late but the post wasn't available... but think of it like this: It could of taken Einstein and Newton and all these guys their whole life to discover some things, but once they discovered it they were able to break it down and make it so simple that we learn it in school/uni in a few months. This is not to discredit Naruto, just something to have in mind.

its "Princess" Tsunade because Orochimaru, Tsunade and Jiraiya all come from a Japanese folklore. Together with their summonings, the snake cave and so on. There's more japanese folklore in Naruto, like Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, Sarutobi (Sasuke), the 9 tails and some others.
