Shadow

Show kinda gives me early AOT vibes with the kaiju mystery. Doubt it’s anywhere near its level but bout to read manga now that first season done

Kyle

it really is carrying. ig windbreaker too but idk I didn't like Tokyo revengers either

Fujiie

This and windbreaker has been great. Glad you guys are watching this 👍

Patriicia

yeeesss, you will really enjoy this!

spring deerling

Lol yes, the tiger also shook me. The opening and ending are really cool too.

spring deerling

There is a manga for Kaiju no8 I saw in first in Walmart years ago. Never checked it out tho.

Watch One Piece

This is not a 12 hour One Piece reaction marathon

Slussh

YESSSSS, I JUST BINGED THE FIRST 10 EPISODES YESTERDAY

Tyler Smith

Super excited to see you all watching this its a really fun watch BUT DO NOT READ THE TITLES like Jack pointed out a lot of them are spoilers for no reason

spring deerling

The girls voice actor is the same as powers from chainsaw man!

Mikey N

no this show stinks:(

Nico

Kaiju 8 is and has the most typical classic elements in a shounen ever iykyk. This doesnt mean its bad in any way btw, but it just means sometimes its a bit too predictable.

Maki

Should finish code geass first tbh

Marissa

Listened/watched this & the two towers while doing an overnight at work tonight and it made me happy. Love this show & manga!

PS

I dropped it after third episode when it tried to become a comedy with a generic trope.

corLeonis

Wowww ok this is a wonderful surprise tho

corLeonis

Oh and guess what, the ending song was already on my playlist and I didnt even know it was from this show hahahaha

Kevin Harrington

Greatest audible of all time. I’ve been watching this weekly sense it’s come on and I’m obsessed with it. Style and soundtrack are on point and even the dub sounds great IMO

Shadow
>>142255464

There’s also kinda like an off brand Levi in this story lol

Soupy

Carter was cooking. This is made by Production I.G. That is the same studio company that made Haikyuu

Kevin Harrington

The dirtiest cut on Canon at the halfway point 🤣

Linn
>>142256610

The manga is great, the anime doesn’t do the artwork justice at all!

Apex

“Asian, black hair bro, crazy” 😂💀

sankro

The cleanup crew guy with the afro reminds me of Dwun (wdwune) from HxH

Kale
>>142258438

50 episodes vs 12 episodes…. Let’s be fr now 😭 code Geass the goat but kaiju no8 is short and genuinely just great vibes

Ale

This is the highlight of the spring season for me, solid 12 episodes, some questionable things yes, but overall very good, animation went crazy in some parts!!

LupusRex69

Loser Ranger is also carrying this season along with Kaiju No.8! You should check it out. Also 12 episodes.

Hector

Yesssssssssssss

James

I am usually a shonen hater but I really enjoyed watching this one.

Stairguy

LETTTTTTSSS GOOOOOOO. Been waiting for another reactor to start this!

Stairguy
>>142259726

Haven't watched the dub but the soundtrack is a BANGER. At certain moments when the beat drops, chefs kiss

Ayoodude

I was wondering why you guys weren’t watching this but glad you did. It’s pretty cool!

Kevin Harrington
>>142259726

At the time I think I had just finished hells paradise subbed so I was taking a break from reading lol

Ale
>>142267812

Oh how could I forgot about Go go loser ranger, that's also my highlight for the season, although I'm not up to day with that one, the 6 eps I've seen are sooo good, definitely give it a try when you can!!

PS
>>142257599

They usually do it after, they don’t like watching spoilers

A (Daddy Daichi)

DC

This show reminds me of aot but in a more modern era

DC
>>142256610

Stop that the anime adaptation was pretty well done

JuancaMX

the tropes mostly dissappear as the season progresses so don't worry too much about it

lola

OHHH… YESSS… TURN IT UP!

Enma

This comment is for Cannon and the pacing of newer/older anime. (sorry for the long post) The pacing of anime has undergone significant changes over the past two decades. Before the mid-2000s, anime typically aired over six months to a year, but by around 2005, this period shortened to about three months per series. This shift was influenced by the rise of production committees, where multiple companies collaborate to fund and produce anime based on existing source material like manga, rather than original stories. Investors increasingly sought quicker returns, leading to the rise of single cour adaptations (about 12-13 episodes), which meant creators had to find ways to stuff more content into significantly less airing time. While initially driven by practical constraints, this faster pacing has now become standard in modern anime, often seen as a defining characteristic of the genre. With the abundance of short-form videos nowadays, the anime industry has also become aware of the effectiveness of shorter, dynamic content. So viewers who are used to the fast format may find it difficult to watch older anime with slower story progressions. Longer anime like Naruto have slower pacing is due to the anime trying to avoid catching up to the manga too quickly, leading to the inclusion of filler episodes to give the manga more time to progress. This problem also occurs in the latter half of One Piece and is still happening today. Nowadays, anime is broken into seasons rather than one continuous flow of episodes, giving both the animation studio and the manga more time and allowing for a higher quality product.

James Wilson

Y’all gotta watch the intro, doesn’t spoil anything and it’s sick

Bellaa

NO WAY!!

Mikey N
>>142257599

yea I think it's going to be too generic for them. It's all the things they said they hated going into watching anime. There's just so many anime out there I feel like are more their taste.

Rees

This show is so good. I’m HYPED HOLY and please watch the intro!! It’s so good

Mei Nano

Nice pick to watch!! For a second I thought it was Wind Breaker but it's also a good show

jessiefungirl

Looks like I gotta bump this up on my to watch list

Riley

If you haven't already, you should watch the intro next time; it has a very good song.

Jordan Grinde

This anime is absolutely amazing you guys, glad you picked it enjoy

Shpitz

The pacing is actually fantastic

Julia

This was my favorite watch this season. Kept me entertained and tuned in the whole way through. Watch the intro!

Aya

OMG another fantastic anime to watch

Lenny Wikberg V

I can’t rlly think of any other main characters this old besides Goku who is like 37-38 currently

Alexa

Yesssss

Hechy
>>142258438

yeah 86 was never finished aswell. ninja kamui got silently dropped. live action ATLA id assume aswell. a bit weird that some shows get dropped without info

BubblePriest

As a 30 year old, this is my kind of main character lol

Rick Lane

Watch the intro 🔊🔊🔊

Harry Oswald Chisholm

I feel like they tone down the tropes and goofiness throughout the season. I remember watching the second episode and being a bit worried that it would continue like this but luckily it gets better. Really great anime!

Henrique I. Pereira

Kaiju no 8 is cool and all but when is Eighy Six coming back?

Linn
>>142256610

lol are you a stalker? Always answering my comments with the exact opposite opinion. Never said the anime isn’t a good adaptation just that it doesn’t do the artwork justice.

Pavlo

Migi getting freakyy

LaYami・砂漠の子

Kaiju rn is killing it with the Manga sales in Japan, it was the highest selling in June

bebe

sil

kaiju no 8 i was unfamiliar with your game

Ram.

I think you guys should watch this one in dub.

LuvStarburst

the moment cannon said how will that gun kill the monster in the beginning I just laughed cause he was about to be proven wrong.

chloe willmott

Breaking news: Cannon says he would beat women ‼️

Zemi

It's really funny that Carter said this looked like Haikyuu, because he's right -- it's actually the same animation studio called Production I.G.!

Sickness

Noob anime watchers always have to relate shit back to JJK as if JJK was the first big anime to make everything. JJK copied most everything it has from other big series. Its funny how they always compare things back to it but its annoying as well
