The hand signals are made and used by Suga for the squad; Kageyama hasn't created hand signals; he just tosses to who he believes is best, as his awareness of where every person is on the court is better than Suga's because he is a "Genius."

ginabella

He is essentially the enemy, but DAYUM, Oikawa is SO COOL. I love him so much~

y

hope we can get an update on your top favorite characters after you guys finish season 1 🙏🙏

Miitei

Yes, Shittykawa is here!!! For Aoba Josai #1 to #4 all are 3rd years (almost always the #1 is the captain of the team) The hand signals that they were practicing before were Suga's sign, Jack, he gave that paper to Hinata. Also, the woman in the news was talking only about Miyagi, Shiratorizawa is in the same prefecture, just in a different group, the boys are in group A, Shiratorizawa is in group I, remember there were like 60 schools in the region lol. I love Oikawa's play style, I guess that's why him and Kenma are one of my faves characters and players, along with the Salty boy, the 3 of them have a similar play style now that I think about it 🤔 I just KNOW Tanaka will ended up being one of your faves, at least to one of you will be the goat lol Can't wait for Thursday!!

aubrey

SUGAAAAAA my goatt im so excited for the rest of this season !!!

Luna Meow

Love how everyone's talked Oikawa up. The geks already trying to dissect him as a character and player.Storys only just touched on some of it. Story so well written already picking up on some of the themes they explore later on.

Nash

Sam

All the teams in s1 are all from the same region (miyagi). In order to make it to nationals one team from each prefecture has to win. And then that team has to beat other schools from different prefectures to become national champions. Except nekoma. They’re from Tokyo

Luna Meow

Idk if it Haikyu or Jack just getting more comfortable. But the reaction to Tanka over coming his mental block, and clap and look to camera, and fist bump , sent me. Welcome to fandom only gets better from here.

Sandi uchiha

Brig, dont punch me... its literally a tiktok joke. Oikawa >>>Madara

smif

maan we used to pray for times like these

bella

MY GOATSSSSS SEIJOH!!!! Oikawa and Iwa are HERE finally lmaooo this is the one I've been waiting for. They're not really villains, no one is actually a villain in this show, antagonists would make more sense simply because they're an opposing team, but the characters are solid and there's not really any reason to hate anybody, they're all loveable characters fr. Can't wait for next episode!

Jo

THE GOOOOOATS!!! Seijoh is my favorite team and Oikawa is my favorite character, so glad to see you enjoying this match so far!

eiden

Did new code geass disappear for anyone else too?

Kaibur

a_daichi

Kna

Waited all day for this after work! Love the inputs and reaction. Esp loving that Mckay seems to be enjoying it more now. LOVE that they dissected one of my fav character of all times and really toke the time to understand him

bokkun

Tina L

After watching the post about the GOT comment section, I just have to say I absolutely love the Haikyuu!! comment section! You guys (I use the term inclusively) are the best. I truly enjoy reading them all. ❤️

Zechree

I can’t get enough of this shows music

Aiza

Next episodes are even betteeeeer🫠 can’t wait

Patriicia

idk what Im gonna do when these reactions end 🥲

StandedJosh

23:53 McKay looked more horrified reacting to this serve than when someone gets tortured in a show LMAOOO

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Haikyuu is getting so hype 🔥 All the setter mind games are crazy

tskjn

Would be fun if you guys do a dream team every end of a season. Sarah Pavan, the olympian who reacted to haikyuu, did the same thing lol

Ayn Orbuda

Don’t forget that tsuki’s VA is meruem from HxH and the tunamayo guy (inumaki) from JJK

jrnoodles

Thank you. Maybe by changing setters they'll gain some momentum with a seasoned setter

Hem-ehem

14:35 LOL Oikawa is hilarious! He is one of the funniest characters in Haikyu imo. And don't worry Cannon, Oikawa always teases like that only to his childhood buddy Iwa-chan lol. And Iwa-chan always reply back either with calling him names / kick or throw things at Oikawa LMAO His fellow 3rd years in the team sometimes tease/mess around with Oikawa too.

Patriicia

give me my next dose of dopamine. Thanks

morena

Can they please open the "COMMUNITY CHATROOM" it be more engaging for everyone else. I know discord exists but not everyone is a gamer and community chat is just faster access for non-discord user.

yio

These haikyuu reactions go by in a flash

a_daichi

A new upload would be so refreshing right now but I’ll be patient 😪

Lydia

Anyone else talk to your screen during these eps like "Kageyama don't panic, calm down, its okayyyy" 😭😭

Fatipapi (Byakuya’s Girl)

Oh my daysss that kageyama dump and repeat of the same line never fails to hype me tf up

bebe

can we like get the rest of s1 in one batch? 🥹

Can-A

I love the concept of setter dump’ battle on ep19. when I watched it for the first time, it made me think that Seijo battle would be great.

~Mercedeez Lee~

Oikawa villain meme shall never die. It’s a staple in the anime community, it brings joy to all

Brittany (Ultraanimegirl4)

Every time I'm anticipating the next batch of episodes I think to myself, "these next episodes are peak I can't wait," and I'm thinking this every single time, Haikyu truly has no bad episodes 🤣

StandedJosh

I love how Brig notices all the high level competitive things like how Oikawa was targeting Nishinoya and Tanaka. No doubt because of his experience competing at a high level himself

Hem-ehem

Like Josh has said, I too like how Brig notices Oikawa's strategy. Oikawa's first target was Noya with his firsr serve. First serve to target the libero is a strong move. Then, Kageyama. Then, Tanaka. His powerful setter dump at the start of the match was to rattle Kageyama. Then, Kageyama knows that he knows their signs to spike. He knew that Kageyama would find out sooner or later but for Kageyama to notice it this early in the game became Oikawa's 2nd mental attack towards Kageyama. It added pressure to Kageyama early in that match. .. just my humble take ..

Moon

"I hate this guy. I'm just jealous of him." HELP JHBWJHWBJHB So many people feel that way about Oikawa, it's actually so funny. Tanaka would be proud of that attitude HAHAHA Oh and, just to clarify, the team that was shown on television that won 25 to 6 is actually in the same prefecture as Karasuno. The school's name is Shiratorizawa, where Ushijima Wakatoshi, one of the top 3 spikers in the whole high school volleyball scene, plays. They're basically the reigning champions in the Miyagi prefecture, and our boys will have to beat them if they ever want to go to Nationals because only one school from Miyagi will get to represent the prefecture at Nationals! Also, to answer Jack's question about Nekoma: Nekoma is situated in the Tokyo region, so they aren't in the same prefecture as Karasuno. Their teams were considered rivals because of the two coaches (Grandpa Coach Ukai and Coach Nekomata) who knew each other and made their teams play practice matches against each other. They've never played an official match against each other before, because they were both knocked out of Nationals in the year that the Little Giant was still playing at Karasuno. They lost contact with each other after the old Coach Ukai retired due to health issues, and have only now rekindled that rivalry after Takeda Sensei(Karasuno's volleyball club advisor) persistently asked for a practice match (Golden Week, episodes 10-12). Now, if they want to play a official match against each other, Karasuno has to represent Miyagi prefecture at Nationals by beating all the other schools in the region, and Nekoma has to secure a spot at Nationals as well. Then, they have to win every match at Nationals before they meet as opponents, regardless of which round they meet in. I hope this helps HAHA

lola

bentleymrx

I know I'm SOOOO late, but I was sick and someone was actually wanting for me to say something this ep ab Oikawa specifically. I can't remember their name rn lol. So here it goes: The second I started this show I immediately liked 2 setters (Suga and Tobio) then I met Oikawa, and I was literally mesmerized by his presence, no cap. Not only do I believe that if I was a Volleyball player I'd like to be a setter, but I find a lot of myself, personality wise, in a couple setters in the show (Oikawa and Kenma mainly) making it easier to connect with them. I also find the position so much more meaningful in Spanish "armador" it's exactly what It's shown in this very episode, like an orchestra's director, everything goes through them, they make every single player's ability come together for the symphony, and seeing Kenma in previous eps use that pretty big brain of his and Oikawa's mastermind in this one is what made me fall in love with Setters. I love them profoundly. I feel inspired by them, and I understand myself better through them.
