Karlsefni

Please like this comment so the Geks know to watch Kakashi Gaiden Next!!! (119-120)

Thomas

Why that Tobi guy kinda CUTE THO??

SIIver

Bro McKay’s reactions kill me everytime

studiogek

We talked about it and decided to keep going in episode order!

Mauricio.

My dear Granny you were such a goat. This part gets me every single time 😭😭

G

Day 30 asking for dub

G

Cannon and Carter now know the goat kakashi is not a bum

Kd

Day 2 asking to watch Monster

Storm

Lets gooooooooo We moveeeeeeeeee

Rondog 03

@26:55 oh yea that’s a op jutsu alr and that’s not even half its power

Michael H

I love this show, but only Naruto can stretch a handshake out over a minute

Cookie

might be nostalgia but i liked this arc more now than when i first watched it

Cookie

W reactions i CANNOT wait for more

G

Next arc is short and sweet

Cookie

omg goat

Sam

Ehh it's still 21 episodes long and frankly way more boring than this first arc. Some good moments for sure, but it definitely drags.

Richie Sour

The ost in this show just hits everytime

Richie Sour

Ngl the next arc isn’t drastically better, it really picks up imo after the first two but hopefully you enjoy it more than this one

LuvStarburst

Gaara is the goat and I'm excited for all future episodes that are coming and I can't wait to see your reactions to them all.

AV

Holy shit! The pacing on Kakashi's Mangekyou Sharingan is insane

JoLen

MY GOAT HAS BEEN INTRODUCED

Merry

The next 21 eps were torture for me😂

Johnny

This isn't really a spoiler, since it doesn't impact the plot in any meaningful way, but each Mangekyo has its own unique design that varies from user to user. Itachi has the most basic looking design as an unfortunate consequence of being the first character introduced with one before Kishimoto decided to get really creative with his designs.

ooAlmondMilk

Writing this pains me but I feel like naruto is the westbrook of anime. It was goated when I was younger but the more time passes the worse it gets

lololol

GEKS!!!!! Since you finished the first arc, might as well watch Kakashi Gaiden at this point. Kishimoto (naruto creator) wrote kakashi gaiden BEFORE the actual naruto shippuden manga, so its really meant to be watched before the series. It would be a good idea to watch it rn since it could give y'all a glimpse of how future naruto shippuden looks and feels like (kakashi gaiden is episode 119-120) --- which could wash away the bad taste from the first arc 😂😂😂 u guys might even get more motivated to stick through with the initial arcs as well.

Patriicia

Well hello Tobi :)

e riv

I'm glad the geks enjoyed the ending of this arc. I'm excited for my boys' introduction, Sai and Tobi. I can't wait for next Friday.

Osvaldo

Finally. Now time for probably the most boring episodes of Shippuden.

PST3

Gaara in that 3 years break has been collecting groupies.

Gyt

Yeah gotta watch it now will definitely bond more with certain characters

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

Yes hahah, I don't understand how are people saying that the first arc is somehow worse.. First arc had really great moments but was incredibly slow while I can't remember even one good moment from second arc 😅

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

I really liked that part with a sand 😂 one of better moments for me in this arc

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

The first time I watched this arc, I remember feeling more of an appreciation for Chiyo's sacrifice rather than getting deeply emotional. However, this time it struck me much harder. My grandmother, who I was very close to, passed away just a month ago, and Chiyo’s character resonated even more with me because they not only look alike but also share similar personalities. So even though rewatching this arc felt like waiting for the standout moments, that scene had a much greater impact on me than it did three years ago when I first watched it. That being said, I can't wait for you to finish next arc because it is the worst one in Shippuden

Alec Raatz

I don’t agree at all but do you

holyfuckingobito

Ah there he is, the masked man I'm on my knees for 24/7. No homo

Cosmo

Ong I hope they do the next arc In like 2 settings, but I don’t know if it’s possibly quite a bit of episodes

Merry

"Exactly! In the first arc, there were good moments like the introduction of Akatsuki, their theme, Gaara's death, Granny Chiyo's abilities, and Naruto's crying scene. You all labeled us jinchuriki and the appearance of tobi.. But in the second arc, I can't even tolerate the crop top of Sai😂 i want brig to tell them the whole arc in 5 minutes...

Keeka 🍰

Maybe because now we are taking long breaks between episodes. I remember how I really enjoyed it cause I was watching one episode after the other. I know the Geks already mentioned that they don’t plan for having more episodes but maybe it would be better to spread them out during the week so we don’t forget what happened from one upload to the next.

kuza

my goat tobi

Storm

Naruto Peak what a ending Goosebumps Every Time One of Naruto biggest strengths imo is having an emotional/satisfying ending to an arc. Just like Carter said, it perfectly wraps everything and comes full circle. Granny Chiyo will always be a Legend RIP. I personally would rate this arc a 8. It for sure drags but for terms of story and development it's a great arc for setup and future events for stuff later down the line. Can't wait for next week. We moving 🫡

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks! I wonder if Chiyo died knowing the puppet jutsu was not left in good hands

Richie Sour

Yeah I can definitely see why most people think that way, I just think the pacing is better

Mitch

They already said they’re going to watch it in normal release order

Mike

8 is right, carter being super harsh with naruto, 6 is close to saying it's bad. i think cannon likes it more. chiyo's story can be super emotional if it resonates with the viewer's own real life experiences

GBuckets

What is the squid game schedule

Jem

You don’t like the bridge episode?..

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

He said in a live stream that it's the worst arc in any anime he's ever watched, and I find that mind-blowing 😅 At least he's the only reactor I've ever seen who thinks that.

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

Oh my God, no.. they are staring at eachother for 5 episodes straight 😂 I mean I love every moment of this show because I love it so much but objectively it's the weakest arc

Richie Sour

Dude did he really say that? He hates this show wow 😭😭😭

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

But majority of us were recommending you to watch it like this.. I know it's your decision but that is the best way to experience this show..

GBuckets

Cannon every member of the Akatsuki are some of the strongest ninjas alive, and in history. They’re not your normal fodder enemies, they are not losing easily

lololol

yeah saw their reply under another comment, but still gotta try 😂

PST3

It's not an 8, it's dragged out, has a lot of pathetic plot lines like Guys team fighting their mirrors, the Sand village being totally useless.

Mitch

Yea there’s no way in hell it’s an 8 that’s insane

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

@Richie Sour Yes 🤣 😬 I don't know how is that possible considering the fact that they watched dinosaurs fight in OP a day ago but oh well 🤷

Merry

If he hates this arc, then I don't think he would like any peak moments because he has his own mindset. he doesn't like this show; it can only be watched for views as part of the big three.

bondbond53

Oh yeah I completely forgot about Tobi

Brig Andrus

Did he actually say that? 😔

luma

so is there a movie today?

a_u_i_o

\o/ now the pacing will be a looooooot better

studiogek

Richie sour I do not hate this show, so please stop saying that. I just did not love this arc. Definitely my least favorite of all of Naruto so far

Secretly

For the kakashi thing think of it like how hard it would be aiming a bow and arrow on a horse vs just standing still

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

Brig, you’ve got to hop on the livestreams to keep an eye on him 👀

Dakota

After having watched Shippuden a number of times, I can agree with Carter about this arc. It has it's moments, but its definitely a little too slow imo. Too many episodes for what the actual content was. I will say this though, there are only a handful of times that this show gets to me and makes me tear up, and the scene where Naruto is crying over Gaara's body and Granny Chiyo starts the process of bringing him back, is one of those times. No matter how many times I watch it, Naruto telling the others how he feels and stuff hits me hard. I think its because when he was still a kid, the only way he knew how to express himself was to act out. Now, these people that are around him respect him and are his friends, and he's never had the chance to speak aloud how he feels about the whole Jinchuriki thing to his friends. He's only ever internalized it, except to Iruka Sensei. So it almost feels like it means more, because the ones he's talking to are so close to him, and they must be thinking like "oh is this how he felt all along, we never knew" sort of thing.

Secretly

I’m not mad at the 6 rating. I think this Arc had potential for a 7.5-8 but the anime just ruined all the details they could. From here forward the anime does justice to the manga, and then makes it even better for a good run. Excited to see your reactions 👍🏽

Micah Seer

I mean Brig looking at your guys lineup of anime you have watched, it totally makes sense and I would agree

Micah Seer

This arc is definitely a 6-6.5/10. Anything higher is not only disrespectful to other anime out there but disrespectful to the best parts of shippuden coming up because those are many many times better

Micah Seer

Carter, just know that the crowd out there that also loves objectively great things appreciates you. You are always on point

Isabelle

one piece is peak entertainment thats why, its an anime that knows how to make evn the most random plots fun to watch and it helps that one piece has great humour too

Richie Sour

Sorry carter worst arc ever is just tough 😂😂 (if you said that) I really hope you enjoy the rest of the show but if not that’s okay! Everyone has their own opinion and I definitely see where you’re coming from and I still enjoy the reactions either way Much love boys

David Kováčik

Is it just me or video quality is constantly changing throughout their video?

Kesendo

Saying that the Kazekage Arc is worse than Syrup Village is crazy 💀

studiogek

Yeah syrup village might be worse

jessiefungirl

it's patreon, we can't set a fixed quality

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

Everyone appreciates Carter. Part of the excitement is waiting to see if he might change his mind about something he doesn’t like at first. Even if that doesn’t happen, we still love his commentary and appreciate it.

Jaghies

yo they gotta watch JoJo!!

Vixen

Probably Monday and Wednesdays they said in a comment

Lydia

I like this arc bc of sakura and naruto/gaara moments at the end but it does have so many episodes and breaking it up by 4 a week definitely adds to the drag. Now that more characters are introduced we can make our way to the PEAK. we gotta trust the process cause its guna be so satisfying when Carter turns that 6 upside down 😬

Karlsefni

assuming your saying it’s terrible but for these specific episodes - don’t think the pacing was bad at all - leading up to this point it dragged out though

Nawvu

I agree

Karlsefni

This arc in the manga: 8.5. Anime adaptation: 6.5-7 Last 8 episodes: 8.0-8.5 Hope some of the geks read the manga as we go a long ( same with one piece tbh) cause as Carter says the pieces are there. The pieces being Kishimitos good writing but Studio Pierrot doesn’t do a great job meshing it all together this first arc

lian

these comments make me think a naruto remake would be so good honestly they could fix all the pacing issues and most people’s problem with the series would be gone… but it’s probably too soon for a remake

Nomaan

Unrelated but I wanted to say I just started AoT cos I came here for the GOT reactions and seeing the Geks hype AoT made me finally start it and… wow. I’m on the 57th expedition beyond the walls arc with the female titan and it’s giving me everything I ever wanted. So thank you guys for putting me onto it😭 I’m watching y’all’s reactions to each arc after I’ve finished it and it’s so interesting to hear their thoughts and predictions as I’m going along as well

GreetswithJudgement

Anytime anyone starts the AOT reactions I get so happy! They’re for sure GOATED! Enjoy!

Nomaan

Thank you!! Quite late to the party but better late than never 😭

GreetswithJudgement

AOT always comes to those at the perfect time. I hated it when I felt forced to watch it but when I watched it on my own time I hated myself for how good it was.

Micah Seer

Oh you are just getting started. AoT is THE masterpiece of anime. Enjoy it!!

Poragami

why is it too soon? One piece is literally on going and is getting a remake lmao

Karlsefni

@Merry, I don't know why you guys believe this to be the case - this arc is not even remotely close to the best that Shippuden has to offer. He will definitely enjoy plenty of moments & arcs. He literally enjoyed this batch & there are much better things to come.

Euphemia Isobel

If you haven't seen Dark you should give it a shot with their full reactions, the show is a masterpiece

lian

i mean the naruto anime only ended in 2016, and one piece seems to be a unique thing lol remakes usually dont happen as the og is airing

Gaboxxy

Not even joking, I think the season could be compressed into about 12 episodes and it could've told the whole story without much issue.

Gaboxxy

@BeautyWillSaveTheWorld it makes sense, actually. Carter isn't an Anime fan, he hasn't seen as many Anime as even most casual fans, and most of the ones he has got to watch because of our recommendations are absolute peak like HxH, Vinland Saga and AOT. In the relatively small repertoire of very good Anime he has seen, it doesn't surprise me that this arc is the worse he has seen, not because it's that terrible, but because he never had the opportunity to watch too many bad arcs. This is the problem with first introducing someone unfamiliar with anime to the best material out there right from the bat, the expectations become too high and expect every new anime they start to be on par, which is clearly impossible when almost every anime you've seen so far is at least top 25 of all time.

Gaboxxy

@Mike giving this arc an 8, with all due respect, is just fanboying. If we give this arc an 8, then that would automatically make almost every canon arc a 9 or above, which clearly isn't the case, and I say that as a fan. A 6 is actually fair, it's not even a bad rating, it's literally above average. People have gotten way to to generous when rating stuff; a 5 is mediocre, a 6 is supposed to be decent, 8 is great, 9 and above is a masterpiece. This arc was decent, not great, not terrible, and it was definitely drawn out more than ideal, but I understand they had to avoid catching up to the manga.

Gaboxxy

Kakashi probably never used his Mangekyo before because he couldn't control it well enough, and he still can't do it fully. The Mangekyo strains his eye, and if regular Sharingan already drains his chakra quickly, just imagine how much the Mangekyo must tire him out. I would imagine he can only train it ocassionally while making slow, incremental progress each time.

DiPo

The next week watch 8 episodes please, to start a new fight.

Shockbile Gaming

patreon changes quality depending the highs and lows of your internet speed

Gyt

Y’all not surprised how kakashi got the eye ? Remember u gotta kill ur closest one

Karlsefni

Yeah lol, as soon as Kakashi said Mangekyō Sharingan, I thought they were definitely going to bring that up and start questioning how but I guess it didn’t cross there minds

Nonos

8 is crazy. It’s definitely a 6 to a 7 at best if u really enjoyed the good parts of the arc

John D. Acebes

The shot at 14:25... Naruto hella boofin. Cooking up something nasty with that aura fr

nocomprendo

its too bizzare for them

Maari

A remake of Naruto would honestly be amazing. The pacing issue is the worst thing about the show but getting rid of filler and trimming the exposition would make me actually excited.

MegMegMegg

I feel like neither Sakura nor Chiyo could have beaten Sasori without the other.

BeautyWillSaveTheWorld

I liked your conversation about Naruto becoming the host of nine-tails. Can't wait for you to see how he became jinchuriki, it's one of the best set of episodes in the whole show

Karlsefni

Naruto remake would feed generations

brog.

one of the funniest naruto moments to me. *beep beep beep* "neji." "I refuse!"

Secretly

It would genuinely make the show a solid 9+ When I look at how good JJK is with what I think is a story with a lot less depth, I really think about how Naruto's animation sets it back a bit.

Secretly

It would bro, you'd be surprised at the lack of repetitive flashbacks and standstills in the mange. and especially before the ear arc

Ari

i cant wait for the 'future' episodes!!

Ari

Naruto remake will end new gen anime... lol kidding. or im not

Nivek

I’ve seen shippuden a few times now but I’m just realizing… does Deidara not have any blood or something!? Like why is this man just fine with having his arms ripped off with zero medical treatment lmao

Lydia

i think theres a moment or two in the next month of uploads but yes im excited cause 2-3 months from now will be a great time on the channel for shippuden

goblin.bones

I like this arc but certainly see and agree with the points yall made all around. The number one failing of the naruto anime has everything to do with how it was aired - unfortunately they could only do so much trying to release a show weekly, on pace or outpacing with the source material, for 2 decades 🥲 it led to a ton of filler and flashbacks (both for time fill and for reminding people who watched it as it aired) vs the raw power of the manga material. I think pierrot succeeded in bringing a lot of great emotion where necessary, and it definitely improves down the line, but it is rough from the perspective of attentive and condensed watching. Still my favorite series in the world despite it all though, and I can't wait to see how yall feel about the story moving forward 🥹

Lydia

Dear gek gods, please bless us this Friday with a Shippuden Day upload bright and early, and let it nourish us for the following week to come. Thanks for all you do, Amen 😌🙏🏽

Vixen

AMEN 🙏
